In deed, he had a huge effect on television and science fiction. I was actually surprised to see he was still alive a few months ago. Guess I'll pop some Twilight Zone on tonight in his honor.

I loved so much of his work. From his screenplay to Spielberg's "Duel", "Incredible Shrinking Man", the "I Am Legend" novel (FAR superior to any of the filmed versions, which it's sad none of them ever got it right), and all the famous Twilight Zone episodes he wrote. He will be missed indeed.

Matheson was also one of the writers, though incredited of Jaws.

Not Jaws Stefan, Jaws 3D.

Sure, if you count the JAWS motif as a Williams connection.

The closest I can think of is that Matheson wrote the episode "Time of Flight" from the television series BOB HOPE PRESENTS THE CHRYSLER THEATER. Now, we still don't have full overview of which episodes Williams scored (except a couple), so maybe he wrote the score for this? I doubt it, though.

PS. IMDB lists Goldsmith as the composer for the episode, but IMDB also lists Goldsmith as the composer of Williams-scored episodes, so it's not to be trusted.
