It was about time he got his (63rd) Grammy nomination! ;)

Indeed!

(he must have his Grammys piled up in some closet, he has won so many)

Well, that brings me to the true purpose of this thread. I don't know if you've heard about it, but writer Andrés Valverde has a new John Williams biography coming out soon. It'll answer all your burning questions about the maestro and more. Available from Amazon on December 10, or at a bookseller far, far away.

ROTFLMAO

Anyway, congrats to JW and my deepest sympathies for the likely defeat.

So he won recently for Memoirs of a Geisha (score),A Prayer for Peace (Instrumental composition) and Adventures of Mutt (Instrumental composition)

So he's been doing well at the grammys

Did the Grammys change the rules? I've noticed that film scores aren't nominated in the instrumental composition category anymore. Like the past few years.
