Williams's Most Nightmarish Cues

There is a thing I didn't like in the beginning of the arrangement of Close Encounters of the Third Kind JW recorded few times with the Boston Pops : there is a big and strong BANG.

I remember listening it in my m3 player at very loud volume and being shocked.

In this thread, my vote goes to 'We Shall Do It' from Thomas And The King as well.

Never heard it.

I envy you. Really.

Now I really want to hear it! Sounds right up my street.

If you can imagine a cross between The Policeman's Song from Pirates of Penzance and Three of These Kids Are Doing The Same Thing from Sesame Street, you are most of the way there. I find it more enjoyable to listen to if I imagine Peter and Brian from Family Guy singing it.

So it's not like Barry's Kidnapping?

one of my dream JW releases would be the UNDERSCORE to Thomas and the King without the singing and chorus

It's full bombast mode JW all the way though

Barry's kidnapping is wonderfully nightmarish.

Great choice guys

Chrissie's death is pretty great too.

As always, I will defend Thomas and the King until I die. I think it's a very solid effort by Williams.

Is this based on the cast recording, or have you actually heard unreleased music?

  • 3 weeks later...

Several tracks from "Schindler's List"...

(sighs) Please guys: it's called "The Abduction Of Barry".

On the original release it is called "The Abduction of Barry", yes.

On the Collector's Edition it is called "Barry's Kidnapping".
