Naïve Old Fart 12,928 Posted July 29, 2014 Posted July 29, 2014 "Docking" from "Capricorn One". It suits my current languid frame of mind.

crocodile 9,642 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 This tune has been going through my head ever since I watched the film. This fella can write some pretty strong themes. Karol
Quintus 6,358 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 The music in this trailer which I watched for the first time about ten minutes ago: Love it.
Jay 45,891 Posted August 12, 2014 Author Posted August 12, 2014 The other night I had the action riff from Man Vs Blaster (from Star Trek Into Darkness) running through my head all night. Making dinner, doing dishes, even listening to a podcast, still had that riff running around in there
Quintus 6,358 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 Um, Jay, it says RIGHT NOW; not last week, last month or last fucking year! I dunno, first you completely fuck up with your score release dates in the other thread and now this? And pay no attention to the fact that my own mention earlier is actually from a game and not a movie!
Quintus 6,358 Posted August 12, 2014 Posted August 12, 2014 My arse it is! You're just trying to recover and brush your onset of senility under the carpet, admit it.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,223 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Pod Monster Suite from X-Files Fight The Future.
crocodile 9,642 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 That bit in The Desolation of Smaug when Bilbo climbs on to of the Mirkwood forests and opens his eyes.Karol SafeUnderHill 1
Jay 45,891 Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 I love that variation of the Erebor theme that comes right after that
Sir Hilary Bray 235 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 for no particular reason it seems, the stuck in head tune today was the Hook theme. Humming it at work was entertaining for all sorts of reasons.
Jay 45,891 Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 Which theme from Hook? Or, do you mean the theme for Hook himself? (the one from Smee's plan)?
Sir Hilary Bray 235 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Which theme from Hook?Or, do you mean the theme for Hook himself? (the one from Smee's plan)?Apologies, I guess I meant the Prologue.
Jay 45,891 Posted August 14, 2014 Author Posted August 14, 2014 Cool, I love that theme. Doesn't really have an official name, I tend to call it the Hook/Pan Conflict theme. Love it's reappearance in the second half of The Ultimate War.
Sir Hilary Bray 235 Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I've got bits and pieces of the Hook OST on my laptop so it tends to be Prologue or Flight to Neverland I listen to a fair bit. I sense I'll be rummaging for the full OST soon enough.
Jay 45,891 Posted August 15, 2014 Author Posted August 15, 2014 The OST is a very well done selection of highlights but the expanded 2cd version released by La La Land 2 years ago has a ton of really really great music added to the presentation that really brings the whole score together and shows the development of all the many themes. And it features that conflict theme appearance I mentioned Sir Hilary Bray 1

Sir Hilary Bray 235 Posted September 21, 2014 Posted September 21, 2014 bits from the Cowboys seems to veer from the overture to when the boys are learning the ropes.Definite proof I can't whistle as it started when I initially had the Russian theme from Meteor in my head.

#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,223 Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 You are listening to it, right....
Jay 45,891 Posted September 24, 2014 Author Posted September 24, 2014 I don't even know if there's a soundtrack album or not. It was stuck in my head after seeing the film
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,223 Posted September 24, 2014 Posted September 24, 2014 Óh I didnt know you saw the film. What did you think of it?
nightscape94 968 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 I have the main theme from Exodus (Ernest Gold) stuck in my head right now.
Uni 307 Posted September 25, 2014 Posted September 25, 2014 March of the Villians from Superman. (Why? No idea.)
Gnome in Plaid 219 Posted October 3, 2014 Posted October 3, 2014 So, my brain played a cruel trick on me last night. I woke up in the middle of the night last night with this awesome melody stuck in my head. I quickly grab a pad of paper and write it down, then fall back to sleep. When I woke up this morning, I realized I'd just transcribed the main theme from Hoosiers. Anyway, I played it on an overdriven guitar, and now it's the theme to Zack Snyder's next movie! Well, the first four sentences of that are true.
Code 000. Destruct. 0. 4,262 Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I don't get stuff stuck in my head often, but this has been constantly looping around in there since Tuesday. Not tired of it yet.
KK 3,310 Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 I had a phase like that, where there was so much shit going on in my life, that this score would constantly be looping on my iPod. And I never got bored of it.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,223 Posted October 16, 2014 Posted October 16, 2014 The original 60's Doctor Who theme
