Michael Giacchino's Jurassic World (2015)

I think Trevorrow is smart enough to know Giacchino would be a better choice.

Only in providing an inferior score!

Maybe he felt that the movie was too good and needed to be brought down a few notches as not to overshadow Spielberg's original film.

I like a substantial amount of material in the album's middle portion (tracks 11-16, more or less). And I do like the suite now. Not as a piece of music, just the material it contains.

What does "Now Your Charlie Is Showing" mean?

It's like..when you dont close the zipper in the trousers... or maybe if the fly of the undershorts its too loose and lets things slip by...?

That's what i thought...but maybe i'm wicked... :P

The deleted scenes seem to have just tracked music...so they were deleted prior to spotting the film.

The 'dino manure' scene has 'Owen you nothing' music, whose comical nature fits better for the deleted scene than what it was composed for...

sounds like some of those tracks could be absorbed in the bigger ones

yes

the original ost tracklist had a track called 'a glorified petting zoo' but it was merged into 'clearly his first rodeo'

same i think with other two tracks i cant remember.

I think you are right on both accounts. I mean, just look at the title of Glorified Petting Zoo. It matches the music in the one and only scene with the petting zoo (discounting the Pteranodon attack sequence). Same with The Teeth Degree, since the music for that part involves a moment when the kid says "We need more teeth" and Claire runs off to get the Rex. I've seen the film enough times to pretty much guarantee that at least from Costa Rican Standoff to The Park Is Closed, there is no missing music heard in the film. It's all on the CD. As most of you guys know by now, most of the missing music is from the middle of the film.

Also:

ITUNES BONUS TRACKS

21 It's a Small Jurassic World 1:43
22 The Hammond Lab Overture 1:07
23 The Brockway Monorail 1:45
24 Sunrise O'er Jurassic World 2:06

TOTAL TIME - 6:41

Just so people are aware in case of confusion, those tracks are NOT iTunes bonus tracks. They ended up being on the actual CD release, too. There were no digital bonus tracks for this release (odd considering all of the MANY different upcoming Blu-Ray releases in store for the film, including Target's exclusive bonus features).

Yea I can't tell by looking what scenes some of them are. But once you start assigning the ones you can figure out to scenes, the others should fall into place, hopefully

It's been a while. Came across an oddity in the ASCAP database: it lists two pieces as follows:

"The 42 5M43A Dimorphodon Shuffle, Part 1" (Part 1 being OST track 0:00-0:56.5)

"The 43 5M43B Dimorphodon Shuffle, Part 2" (Part 2 being 0:56.5-end)

Unusual for them to list slates, or even cues separate like this, or what appears to be track numbers. But it's a bit more info.

The site is also showing quite a few listings for pieces not on the OST, separate from the entry for the Jurassic World score (So far, I've found "A Reign Of Pteranodons", "Your Alpha Is Showing" and "Your Beta Is Showing", which are registered as work ID #s 889044172 , 889044439 and 889044440 respectively). Perhaps they're doing it to be safe, but it does raise the question as to whether an expanded version of Jurassic World is being worked on.

I suppose 0:00-0:56 of "The Dimorphodon Shuffle" is "Entropy In The Aviary"

all I know is that some tracks may be segments from the longer album tracks (Like PettingZoo was)

and as far as I recall there were:

Three unreleased tracks between albumtrack 4 and 5

One between 5 and 6 and between 6 and 7

Five between 7 and 8 (allthough I feel Calm After The Storm comes later, like right before Mad Scientist Disease)

One between 8 and 9

Two or three between 9 and 10

One between 10 and 11 and between 11 and 12

Three between 12 and 13

One between 13 and 14

Two between 14 and 15

I merely counted those number of unreleased music tracks appearing in between the album tracks

also the secret code to eternal life is hidden in there, but eh

Yea you basically said the same thing as is in my post, I just tried to tie the ASCAP cue names to said unreleased sections of music.

Link to comment

Yea but the problem is when the music starts at one point and stops at another in the film, you don't know if that was one cue, or 2 or 3 cues played back to back (to back)

Likewise, if there are 2 sections of unreleased music in a row, you don't know if its 2 cues, or a single cue that had the middle dialed out.

Basically we're just grasping at straws until a sheet music or recording session leak

so there was some leakage somewhere and..

these leaks still miss some track cues.

but to my knowledge its the complete movie score, so track joining is probably a culprit again

(or some of the more punny titles were renamed (like Devil-May-Claire Attitude to Clair Needs Help)

That's a fan edit named by using ASCAP titles and purely made up names. It does not provide any actual factual information except where they happened to guess right.
