Dixon Hill 4,229
Nice that they're including the deleted Clair de Lune, but it would be better if they'd officially release the unused animation. It's beautiful. Same with the unused Sibelius.

Gruesome Son of a Bitch 6,476
Now, there are three kinds of music on this Fantasia program. First, there's the kind that tells a definite story. Then, there's the kind that, while it has no specific plot, it does paint a series of more or less definite pictures. And then, there's a third kind. Music that exists simply for its own sake. Dixon Hill

Giftheck 573
I'm just hoping the original recording is mixed better than the OST. The OST's instrument panning is all over the place.
Dixon Hill 4,229
Yeah it changes from moment to moment. That old school pseudo-stereo thing. Like putting an orchestra through a friggin' Leslie.

Uni 306
Remains one of my favorite Disney films. I remember seeing it years ago, for the first time in years, in a theater re-release. There came a moment early in the Rite of Spring sequence when I glanced away from the screen for a moment (as we all tend to do). I realized it was the first time I'd taken my eyes from the screen since it started--about 45 minutes. I simply found it enthralling. Naturally, it has exceptional appeal for someone who has a passion for the pairing of orchestral music with cinematic visuals.

Giftheck 573
I'm hoping they got the master tapes for Fantasia and managed to do a much more listenable mix.
RedBard 71
I'm hoping they got the master tapes for Fantasia and managed to do a much more listenable mix.According to my research, the original master tapes are most likely too deteriorated for actual remastering and mixing.
