I like that music for smaugs death in the movie, at least what you can hear through the SFX

a somehow sadder version of his theme

Really? I struggled to hear it in the clips you posted too. It's there, but not what I call "very clearly".

Well, I am glad they chose to put tracks on the Rarities disc that we didn't already have clean, so that we could get 74 minutes (or whatever) of truly new music

Had they gone with 2 CDs of music inside Doug's book, I would have liked them to include the NZSO Breaking on it.

Funnily enough, quite a few portions of the rarities cues were already available through video games!

I wish we had gotten the DVD they had originally planned. Then we'd get to watch their conversation, and also get more unreleased music!
