There's a completely different spirit to that first season compared to what followed. And it's definitely a good couple of notches stronger than BCS for me. But that isn't to say BCS isn't great. The flashback scene were Jimmy (Saul) gets the news from his boss that he won't hire him as a lawyer (dialog is being overtaken by the sound of copying machine taking copies while the camera behind the window is closing in on the scene) was simply perfect and the reason why nowadays TV is better than movies .Alex Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Yet it was very moving to learn move of Mikes background.It made a friend of mine hate Walter even more!I still think BCS is the first time a prequel actually worked dramatically.
