Depp and Zimmer (4Pirates movies)

Michael Caine and Zimmer (3 Batmans, Inception, Interstellar)

Jack Black and Zimmer (3 Kung Fu Pandas as of next year, The Holiday)

Tom Cruise, Tom Hanks, and Nicholas Cage each have 3 with Zimmer.

Zimmer covers a lot of bases just by sheer quantity

The Collaborations/Overlaps tool on IMDb is handy for this: http://www.imdb.com/search/common

Looks like Stallone/Conti also had a film called Avenging Angelo in 2002, in additions to the ones you mentioned.

Maggie Smith is one that comes to mind for Williams...three Potters and Hook.

Morricone and Clint Eastwood of course. Dollars trilogy, Two Mules for Sister Sara, In the Line of Fire.

Helena Bonham Carter has a lot too. Charlie and the Chocolate Factory, Corpse Bride, Alice in Wonderland 1-2, Dark Shadows, plus Big Fish, Planet of the Apes, and Terminator: Salvation

And that also reminded me to check Emma Thompson with Patrick Doyle: Henry V, Dead Again, Much Ado About Nothing, plus Sense and Sensibility, Nanny McPhee, and Brave (he also scored a TV movie called Look Back In Anger with both Branagh/Thompson, directed by Judi Dench of all people.)

Wow, can't believe I didn't think of that one!

What I think is interesting, is that really only Stallone/Conti, Connery / Goldsmith, and a few others are not largely due to lengthy director/composer collabs.

Haha, that's right!

So basically, Stallone had Harrison beat until Ford decided to return as Indiana and Solo

There are loads of examples from Hollywood's golden age when the studio systems were in place. Errol Flynn, for example, was supported musically by Max Steiner in numerous films, but most famously benefited from Erich Wolfgang Korngold scores in:

Captain Blood

Another Dawn

The Prince and the Pauper

The Private Lives of Elizabeth and Essex

The Adventures of Robin Hood

The Sea Hawk

Escape Me Never

I don't understand this sentence...

Well, Johnny Depp is on the list because he works with Tim Burton alot, and Elfman scores all his films.

Harrison Ford is on the list due to 5 Spielberg films, who always works with Williams.

Same with Caine / Zimmer - they are all Nolan films.

Stallone and Conti, however, is "pure". Not mostly due to both working with the same director.

Thanks to their collaboration with Martin Scoreses, Leonardo DiCaprio and Howard Shore probably share a few credits.

Oh. Just three (The Aviator, Shutter Island and Gangs of New York). Hmm. Never mind.
