That is clearly the other disc of material. Now what's the other? Probably some Boston Pops CD with more Star Wars music. And they recorded a pile of those.

Very ordinary CD cover from Decca.

First CD must reunite SW music that originally came out on 3 LP (and already was the subject of a compilation) and the second must be The Planets album.

2 Princess Leia 4:06

The Empire Strikes Back

3 The Asteroid Field 4:15

Return Of The Yedi

6 Parade Of The Ewoks 3:30

I maybe have put aside this re-issue too quickly... now I wonder if they remastered the material... maybe at least The Planets?

Has someone compared the versions of this 2015 compilation with the original 80's Philips CDs?

Has someone bought it?

On the off chance what? It's a completely new re-recording conducted by John Williams? :D

Quick question: where do I look to see the difference showing it's been remastered? So far, it just looks a bit louder to me. And the 2015 may go a tiny bit farther past 20kHz than the old one.

I edited my post, yes it seems must louder, but the sounds seems different to me too.

(But I'm afraid I just hear more high frequencies in my right ear than in my left ear. That's life, I am no longer in my prime!)

They made it brighter and louder. Another victory for iPod railway commuters.

But it's enough for me to buy this new compilation. :)
