Recording Spaces

What's everyone's favorite scoring space, established or hypothetical?

There are some nice rooms in England (Watford, AIR), but I prefer to keep things in LA. Todd-AO was unparalleled and still is, sadly. An appalling loss. Of the few big rooms that remain, I really like Eastwood at WB. It's a bit underutilized for feature scores though.

There aren't many good cathedral acoustics in the Hollywood area, pretty much only Our Lady of the Angels. It's not as deep and resonant a sound as a Gothic building but I'd still like to record something there.

The Barbra Streisand Scoring Stage by far. Lovely sound. It offers just about the right amount of reverb, and most of what's recorded there has a very clear, vibrant quality to it.

I loved the sound John Barry got out of CTS Bayswater.

That's the zenith for me. An otherworldly, church-like acoustic with a long decay.

Todd-AO was nice but I prefer Sony. it's just got more body to it. Another of my favourites is Warner Brothers (CE3K).
