:lol2:

In all seriousness, they'll probably do what they did with Marvel post-Thor 2. They'll ask John Williams to compose new music for the pre-title logo, which will probably just consist of the LucasFilm logo.

No logo theme music is the easiest solution.

It's likely the film will open with the Lucasfilm logo, then segue to the opening titles. If the teaser and Marvel Studios' output are any indication, the Disney logo won't appear on the film at all. The copyright will likely read "© 2015 Lucasfilm Ltd", followed by the byline 'Distributed by Walt Disney Studios Motion Pictures' at the end.

People won't complain about the lack of the Newman fanfare if they enjoy the movie overall.

Why on earth would Disney wanna use the Fox Fanfare?

They payed 4 billion for Star Wars. They are gonna wanna advertise the fact that they fucking own it now!

Ease up with the attitude FFS. It was just a question.

Maybe it has something to do with the fact that Williams wrote the opening titles in the same key as Alfred Newman did and the Fox fanfare has been associated with the movies ever since.

There's a HUGE SPOILER going around now. If you discuss the spoiler, please use tags too!

LAST CHANCE!

rumor has it Han Solo dies in the film, murdered by Adam Driver's character, while biding time for others to escape, a la Obi-Wan in the original Star Wars

It's to be expected.

If not him, then someone else from the old cast. It's a tradition of first installment, isn't it? To kill off major character towards the end?

I assume Solo's death would be written into the script either due to Ford not willing to/being physically able to feature in the next films. If not, screw this plot twist. I don't want any of the original characters to die - certainly not Han Solo! There's too much of an emotional connection.

Rumor has it Adam Driver's character rips Solo's leg off and beats him to death with it.

So him having his leg fixed during production, and subsequent delays, feel pointless with this perspective in mind.

IMHO it would be too little too late, it should have happened in ROTJ if it was gonna happen.

It's not too late at all. Now would be the time to kill any original character and formally get out of making more sequels.

Anything's better than landing a moon on one of the original characters.

Sorry but if the rumor is true it will a very similar death.

It was rather dramatic, irrc. People just went crazy because they killed a main character.

Well, I do expect one of the main characters to die by the end of TFA. So far, the mentor character has been the first one to go in the first film of each of the preceeding trilogy (Obi-Wan in Episode 4, Qui-Gon in Episode 1).
