It says Temporarily Out of Stock on Intrada's site.

Anyone know the ETA for more copies of this? Or how long Temporarily out of stock really means.

In the case of The Rocketeer, it means years.

Well I guess it's my own fault for not grabbing one when it was released.

Ughhhhh.

Due to various reasons of forgetfulness, I have a spare copy of this on CD!

Will definitely sell to a JWer if needed (opened but near mint).  Priority goes to UK based poster as that makes it easier for me!

So you ordered it, received a copy of it, and then forgot all about it, and ordered it again? :D

This reminds me, I also still have spare copies of A.I. and The Jurassic Park Collection... Not due to the forgetfulness but by design. Seem rather useless now. 😂

Sorry if this has been already reported: http://store.intrada.com/s.nl/it.A/id.9909/.f

JAWS 2CD SET: SOLD OUT.

A new formula says: "The Jaws 2CD set is currently sold out but will likely be re-issued at some point with a slightly different program".

A slightly different program?

The INT line is supposed to be their unlimited line

Maybe they are being forced to reissue it without the OST LP re-recording?  Or without the source music?

Well, that already happened: for example, their excellent release from THE GREAT TRAIN ROBBERY vanished without any warning while it was an INT title too.

Maybe like for Sup' 3 CD set / Superman II/III set, Mr Williams didn't like the source music just after the OST or the film score and asked for a new edit?

If better elements have been found, I'll happily spend my money on it!

That annoys me as well. The source music will likely be removed and included on a new release of Supes 2&3.

Perhaps they're referring to Jaws 2. :)

Maybe Johnny really really wanted to release the other source tracks he wrote after all, so he begged Intrada until they did this!

Seriously though, wtf.

Roger says:

It means the new packaged album will not include the bonus tracks. Just the main program and the LP program.

http://www.intrada.net/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?p=81756#p81756

So they are dropping the bonus tracks from disc 1 AND disc 2!

Well, everyone who owns the current version instantly has a rare collectible, I suppose

But nothing is unlimited. Whenever a pressing has sold all produced copies, they have to decide whether to press another batch or not. Who knows what the reason is in this specific case, but in general, any release may just go OOP, if demand is limited, once the last available copy has sold.

Also, I don't know how I never realized this before, but TIL that "Quint Thinks It Over" is actually a revision of "From Bad To Worse".

So you could say that "From Bad To Worse" could have been in the bonus track section all along, and not in the main program.

I wonder if Mike placed it where he did because the McNeely re-recording and Decca CD of the film cues both put it there? Or if Williams wanted it this way?  Or if it just sounded good there?

Yea, who knew, right?

I modified my Google Doc to reflect it

Also, the source of this "new" info to me was MM himself, on FSM

Completing the series my "JAWS score restore" videos:

1) Track 2: The First Victim (ending dialed out) https://youtu.be/20ZnLz6PqiQ
2) Track 4: The Empty Raft (ending dialed out) https://youtu.be/8IqSXdrFHVI
3) Track 7: The Alimentary Canal (unused) https://youtu.be/VQjZOh8XmlA
4) Track 12: Tug On The Line (midle section dialed out) https://youtu.be/CY7o4AHWCTk
5) Track 18: Shark Tows Orca (unused) https://youtu.be/CY7o4AHWCTk
6) Track 19: Three Barrels Under (midle section unused) https://youtu.be/LiC4eMMaBMU
7) Track 20: From Bad To Worse (unused) https://youtu.be/ldNdQ1DIJPk
8) Track 25: Quint Meets His End (unused) https://youtu.be/p7WKk6-rcDY
9) Track 26: Blown To Bits (beginning unused) https://youtu.be/cjW80iqBHzg

We restored #'s 3, 4 and 6 for the live concerts (without the piano intro on #3).

#7 - "From Bad to Worse" was replaced with "Quint Thinks It Over" -- which was a track title made up in 2000... the cue is actually "From Bad to Worse (Rev.)". It's not a cue that goes in a different place.

The link for #5 above was incorrect for me. It took me to #4.

If they're pulling it to make changes, it's good news, right? I might finally pick it up when it resurfaces.

Good news that a bunch of music on the previous release is being removed?

I'd intended to pick this up whenever Intrada had a new Williams expansion I could bundle it with. Certainly won't bother now MM's intended program has been stripped back.
