Is it possible that the little brassy thingy at the end of Droid Fight is a variant of Qui-Gon's theme? Or the secondary Proto-Imperial March Droid Army Motif that comes back later?

Yeah. Williams like these kind of "embryonic" forms of themes, so that in effect you hear each theme before you know you've heard it. A cunning little trick.
