Alex 2,867
Apologies if this topic has been covered before but after the release of TFA, I would be interested to see where you guys would rank it amongst JW's post-2000 output.Personally my list would read as follows:HP3HP1The TerminalTFA HP2TintinAIROTSWar HorseMemoirs of a GeishaKOTCSAOTCMinority ReportMunichThe Book ThiefLincolnThe PatriotCatch me if you canWar of the WorldsAnd my favourite cues are "Buckbeak's Flight". Ricard 2,254
I'd probably rank the TFA OST above most of JW's albums of this century. But I'm not the biggest fan of his music from this period anyway.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,362
Same here. I've been lukewarm about much of his work since...POA I guess. Some I like more then other, but nothing really blew me away. Something that actually has disappointed meTFA is really the JW first score to really stir me emotionally on a deeper level since Potter 3. So I must put it high up there, even if its still so new. Thor 8,101
I have completely withdrawn from all STAR WARS discussions & threads here after my initial "early press screening reactions", so I'm suddenly fascinated to see all this love for TFA! Cool. My opinion, however, is pretty much the same as what I said then. Â At the moment, I would perhaps rank his post-2000 feature film scores thusly: Â 1. A.I. 2. HARRY POTTER AND THE PRISONER OF AZKABAN 3. STAR WARS - EPISODE III - REVENGE OF THE SITH 4. STAR WARS - EPISODE II - ATTACK OF THE CLONES 5. MEMOIRS OF A GEISHA 6. MINORITY REPORT 7. MUNICH 8. THE PATRIOT 9. WAR OF THE WORLDS 10. HARRY POTTER AND THE PHILOSOPHER'S STONE 11. CATCH ME IF YOU CAN 12. WAR HORSE 13. HARRY POTTER AND THE CHAMBER OF SECRETS 14. THE TERMINAL 15. STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS 16. INDIANA JONES AND THE KINGDOM OF THE CRYSTAL SKULL 17. TINTIN 18. LINCOLN 19. THE BOOK THIEF

Thor 8,101
MUNICH is most definitely a masterpiece -- both film and score! Â WAR HORSE and HP1 both have some great moments, but they're not even CLOSE! Â Of course, all of the titles above have great value. Even THE BOOK THIEF. artguy360 1,889
I don't think I can rank them all but of his most recent output I would rank them like this:  1. TFA 2. Lincoln 3. War Horse 4. Tintin 5. Book Thief  Outside of that, the Harry Potter scores are great with HP1 and HP3 being tied for best and HP2 being a distant second. And the Minority Report score has really grown on me with it's use of percussion and unusual sounds. Memoirs of a Geisha might be his most complete work of the 2000s, or maybe tied with HP3. Koray Savas 2,254
Two of my favorite cues right there. It's that type of low-key suspense writing that I love from Williams. He doesn't do it often enough.

Score 772
1. Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (masterpiece) 2. Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban (masterpiece) 3. Star Wars - The Force Awakens (very good) 4. Star Wars - Episode III - Revenge of the Sith (very good) 5. A.I. (very good) 6. Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets (very good) 7. Minority Report (good) 8. The Patriot (good) 9. Indiana Jones and the Kingdom of the Crystal Skull (good) 10. Star Wars - Episode II - Attack of the Clones (quite ok) 11. The Adventures of Tintin (quite ok) 12. Memoirs of a Geisha (quite ok) 13. War Horse (quite ok) 14. The Book Thief (emotionally fitting, but no "great pieces") 15. Catch Me If You Can (few cues are very good, the rest is so-and-so) 16. The Terminal (so and so) 17. Munich (only a few cues are worth listening) 18. War Of The Worlds (not my cup of tea, though I respect the craftmanship) 19. Lincoln (not my cup of coffee)   It is understood that what I consider "quite ok", referred to Williams, is better than 95% of the film music being written today.
