SPR was a piece of fiction, a reworking of other event for the contrivance of this story. Isn't this film going to be about the resounding success that was the epically heroic rescue mission, then?

Quintus 6,339 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 It's like watching a movie on a TV mounted behind a syrup fall on the scale of Niagara.
A24 5,123 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Strange, you are all Spielberg maniacs like this world has never seen and yet I've seen more Spielbergs than you guys?
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,205 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 They are false worshippers!

A24 5,123 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Oh dear, I haven't been a Snyder champion ever since Sucker Punch and that Owl thingy. It's like saying I'm a Scott apostle just because I like a few movies of his.
A24 5,123 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Steef likes to pretend that he's a Snyder apostle but he has never seen Sucker Punch or the Owl movie.

JoeinAR 1,957 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Amistad is mixed but is important sequences as powerful as anything SS has done.

A24 5,123 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 It's a TV court movie. And like TV, there's too little wide shots.

Jay 45,828 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 Not counting his pre-Duel TV work, the only Spielberg-directed theatrical movies I've never seen are The Color Purple, Always and Amistad. Someday I'll see them all.
Wojo 2,458 Posted May 25, 2016 Posted May 25, 2016 At one point, Amistad was on Netflix. I like the score though. JoeinAR 1

mrbellamy 8,078 Posted May 26, 2016 Posted May 26, 2016 When War Horse and Tintin were coming out I went on a mini-marathon catching up on all the Spielberg I hadn't seen, so I think I've just got Twilight Zone: The Movie left which I never tracked down. I suppose I'll see it at some point. Also haven't seen most of his early/TV stuff besides Amblin, Eyes, Duel, and Something Evil.
mrbellamy 8,078 Posted July 19, 2016 Posted July 19, 2016 Mark Rylance talks Dunkirk, plus first teaser rumored to show at Comic-Con?
