Always is available? Why?

Dunkirk was a major defeat but a true story, how fictionalized it becomes remains to be seen. SPR was a piece of fiction, a reworking of other event for the contrivance of this story.

Isn't this film going to be about the resounding success that was the epically heroic rescue mission, then?

They let us go. It's the only explanation for the ease of our escape

Personally, I would have part with your copy of Always, but hey, that's me!

I have never seen Always. I read a synopsis and it sounds dull as dishwater.

It's like watching a movie on a TV mounted behind a syrup fall on the scale of Niagara.

I've never seen Always either

Strange, you are all Spielberg maniacs like this world has never seen and yet I've seen more Spielbergs than you guys?

And you're the Snyder apologist who still hasn't seen BvS (not that I would wish that upon you)

Oh dear, I haven't been a Snyder champion ever since Sucker Punch and that Owl thingy. It's like saying I'm a Scott apostle just because I like a few movies of his.

Posted

Steef likes to pretend that he's a Snyder apostle but he has never seen Sucker Punch or the Owl movie.

Amistad is mixed but is important sequences as powerful as anything SS has done.

The Middle Passage sequence is terrific

Posted

It's a TV court movie. And like TV, there's too little wide shots.

I have never seen:

Something Evil

Sugarland Express

Amistad

The Terminal

Lincoln

Bridge of Spies

Not counting his pre-Duel TV work, the only Spielberg-directed theatrical movies I've never seen are The Color Purple, Always and Amistad.  Someday I'll see them all.

The drowning sequence is the most horrifying sequence in any of his movies.

When War Horse and Tintin were coming out I went on a mini-marathon catching up on all the Spielberg I hadn't seen, so I think I've just got Twilight Zone: The Movie left which I never tracked down. I suppose I'll see it at some point. Also haven't seen most of his early/TV stuff besides Amblin, Eyes, Duel, and Something Evil.

Teasers are better than trailers these days.

Posted

This one, Suicide Squad and The Shallows .... the rest I don't know ...

Of course, we haven't seen the full trailer yet but I don't see how it will be better than the teaser.
