Joni Wiljami 1,206
Yeah I kinda love it. But its sometimes too simple. I love some challenge. Thats why I'm not the biggest fan of Johnnys hummable melodies, the macig is somewhere else. Not for everybody.

Joni Wiljami 1,206
Yes I do. But that is just noise. Orchestra just tunin up or what? Definitely not great writing that would interest me. Taikomochi

leeallen01 2,136
I've never been a fan of Morricone's stuff. It's not that I don't like it. It's obvious he's great at what he does, but I've never really sat and listened to his work. I've heard pieces here and there, but clearly nothing has stuck with me or made me sit for a week and listen to his entire resume.

Sounds like someone purposefully trying to make it as complex as humanly possible. Fry is indeed a wonderful host, but he wasted the first 10-15 minutes of the show with a stupid valentines thing and patting a load of attendees on the back. Maybe the BBC doesn't want to devote any more time to it.

I still can't believe Morricone lost the oscar that year!

Taikomochi 1,136
The Mission is amazing in parts, but I have a very hard time listening to the whole thing once it degrades in dissonant percussion for the latter half of the score, or so is my impression. Ricard 2,245
Speaking of The BAFTAs, it should be noted that this year's In Memoriam was set to James Horner's Legends of the Fall.
