Desplat would also be a good fit for the series. He did two semi-Bond Largo Winch scores. He's proved with The Secret Life of Pets that he's familiar with jazz idioms. And also some of the material in this action cue reminds a bit of Arnold.

And he already used some bond motifs…

I always liked his sharp and powerful action music, even in the earlier days when it perhaps bit more stripped-down. This was one of my early favourites (bad ass!):

Great early Hollywood score from Desplat. Quite obscure by now.

I always forget how good that Ghost Writer score is.  Been meaning to see the film for years.

Yea, easily one of my favorite Desplats!

The film was good, but not great by any means

This is still a helluva medley with an excellent arrangement and well played. It's great to hear a live version of Night at the Opera from QoS and be rewarded with a rare glimpse of a bass flute!

The Mirror has ran with a story that Bond 25 will mostly be set in Croatia ... it allegedly has a working title of Shatterhand and will be an adaptation of Raymond Benson's continuation novel 'Never Dream Of Dying', with Christoph Waltz and Dave Bautista due to return as Blofeld and Hinx.

Apart from the story earlier in the year that the production had been location-scouting in Dubrovnik possibly backing up the Croatian thing, the rest of it strongly stinks of tabloid bullshit.

If it's Craig's last and a SPECTRE follow up, kinda a must, no?

I expect this one will be very much influenced by YOLT the novel, but updated to fit the Craig continuity.

It was a decent Bond movie. People seem to think it should have been more profound for some reason.

After Skyfall they had a tough act to follow, but I still stand by my position that Spectre is one of the worst Bond films ever made. Tonally unbalanced, sadistic and stupid. I'd be easier on it if they hadn't retconned Skyfall and raped Fleming's Blofeld.

Nah, it's not that. It might be forgettable in many ways but it was a fun trip to the cinema.

Ive not seen it since actually. Need to pick up both it and Skyfall to finish off the Bond collection actually.

I greatly enjoyed Skyfall and Spectre, and they had equal share of utter preposterousness.

Feels weird that Craig is likely coming back though. Spectre felt like an ending.

Can we have a Bond film that has just a villain, a plot, clever gadgets, and sod all to do with Bond's domestic life?

This!

Up until the last one, which wasn't entirely horrible, Bond was the only franchise left cranking out decent or even pretty great flicks fairly consistently. Everyone else hates Quantum, but it was better than the majority of franchise and action flicks when it came out. Die Another Day was still watchable even though everyone apparently hates that one too.

It's just a brand. And the actual movies since 'Goldeneye' are not much to write home about. It's the whole baggage, pre-PR and press hullaballoo that makes the whole affair seem more relevant than it actually is. The last one was really bad and with the exception of 'Casino Royale' i have to go back to 'The Living Daylights' for a really successful entry in the series.
