Disco Stu 14,067
Hi everybody, I'm looking for recommendations of film music podcasts to listen to. I currently listen to Star Wars Oxygen, Sideshow Sound Radio, and Cinematic Sound Radio but am looking for more! I tend to prefer ones that have fun personalities with a healthy balance of discussion and audio samples (like the first two I listed above especially). What is everybody listening to? Edit: Being on iTunes is a big plus also. I had to manually add the RSS feed URL for Cinematic Sound Radio to my podcast app of choice. It's a good show but what a pain! Thor 5,273
May I be so blunt as to suggest my own -- http://www.celluloidtunes.no ? So far, I've produced 41 programs (13 of those are English-language), including interviews with Giorgio Moroder, James Horner, Alan Silvestri, George Fenton, Patrick Doyle, Cliff Martinez and others. However, it's not so much about 'fun personalities', but more an effort to create a sort of in-depth and/or pedagogical radio show about film music. Disco Stu 14,067
Any show that features such musical giants as those will get a listen from me!
Thor 5,273
Thanks. I have James Newton Howard too, but that episode is in Norwegian (with samples from the interview), so I should make an English version instead. And a Hans Zimmer Q&A, but I was only in the audience for that, and got one question towards the end. Oh, yeah, and I have Elliot Goldenthal (two interviews merged into one episode). Can't believe I forgot that. If you decide to listen, I'd love to get some feedback -- whether positive, indifferent or negative. Thor 5,273
He, he....yeah, I know. We also think Dutch and Flemish sound funny. Which is weird, because we have many common elements. I'm always amazed when I go to Belgium or The Netherlands and can understand a great deal of the dialogue without knowing anything about the language.
