Anyone ever written lyrics for Schindler's List theme?

Pretty meadows, rolling pastures,
flowers grow nearby...

Forests, streams and great big mountains
only topped by golden fountains,
rodents crawl around the brown cans
why do people die?

(credit not mine, found it on the Filmtracks comments page for SL. I read it years ago and frequently laugh when I remember it)

#Love song to the lost six million,

With your lives, you give.

Tribute to a peaceful race,

We hang our heads in shame, and disgrace.

Can you learn to forgive all the pain?

Please, Lord, don't let this happen again.

Will this war ever end?

Will we ever be friends?

Can we ever live in peace?

Maybe one day, I pray, this will cease, but

Till that day we'll have to

Carry on the righteous fight.

Even if we die, we die still knowing

We are right; we're right!

Others try to take our lives away.

We must show them there's a better way#

Steven Spielberg called me up

He said "I've made a film"

In the dark I sat there crying

Watching all those people dying

At the end I turned to him and said

"Steve...someone better needs to score instead"

And...

Steven said "I know but they're all dead"

Are these lyrics inspired by actual events? I've never heard this story before?

Yes someone has. There's a video on youtube of someone singing lyrics over a cover of the Schindler's List theme. I can't find it right now but it's there, just search.

Thanks ArtyGuy360. I found this - is this what you meant or shall I keep looking?

#This is the most boring score

I've ever, ever heard.

Trite, rhetorical, inane,

I never wish to hear it, again

You gentlemen can read and understand context, can't you?

I genuinely don't know what Wojo was getting at though, and I want to know. I'm fairly pissed on vodka in a bar at the moment with my woman of course, so any thicko oversight on my part I blame solely on the ale.

Ale gets you drunk more quickly than eating bread, though. I suppose you could stuff an entire loaf down your gullet, but feeling stuffed and needing to vomit is less pleasurable than being drunk and needing to vomit.

Well, you could eat a jar of grape jam or drink a bottle of wine. Both are made from grapes. Between the two, unless I've also got peanut butter, I'd rather have wine.
