I've bought several Japanese releases of western classical albums, and they often do come with a separate flimsy Japanese booklet that contains only characters and no images, while the usual booklet is a stripped down version whose task is to display the front cover image and hold the smaller Japanese booklet. I think it mostly gave the album a "big finish" instead of ending on a bonus track. 3 hours ago, Tom Guernsey said: To be fair there isn't much in the way of alternate material for either score. Popular Post TSMefford 1,555
Okay from some very humorous rough translation the first few pages discuss the film's story, the hype surrounding it, the cast, the crew, Visual Effects, and a deleted scene present in a sneak peek of the T-Rex Boat Attack near the end, and finally on Page 5 we begin to get info on the score. Here's a...uh... translation. I've highlighted some of my favorite bits of interesting wording it gave back to me: Quote ● John Williams' Amazing Work There are many staff members who are indispensable in Spielberg movies, but composer John Williams is one of the most important staff. Williams, who has been in charge of most of the music in Spielberg films since "Hook", has been a must-have in Spielberg films, where music is also an important factor. Willimams, including the Star Wars Series, which was re-edited this year and recorded a great hit, the Indiana Jones three-part, In addition, "Superman" and "E.T." He is a composer with a real connection to science fiction/fantasy systems such as Encounters with the Unknown. He is so good at writing large scores, and he is a composer who demonstrates his talents by composing dramatic music. That's why it was the perfect person for a director who had features in a video like Spielberg's. While Spielberg was on leave after Schindler's List, he teamed up with various directors of a different type than Spielberg to hear his score. Sydney Pollack's Sabrina is a slightly beautiful love with a focus on piano and stlings. Provides a score that colors the story, Oliver "Nixon" co-starred with Stone for the third time In "Sleepers", which developed a dark song that was out of the 80s around brass and thin sesizers, and recently became a hit in Japan, and provided an unusual score that was creepy and avant-garde. Also, director John Singleton's released in America not long ago In Rosewood (not yet), he also tries to compose a really quirky sound, incorporating jazz in a style Williams liked to incorporate in the 1970s and mixing gospel with it. So to speak, these were made to hear a lot of aspects which were not his symphony score of the conventional. These are also very interesting and good, but it was also around here when I wanted to listen to music with a large punchy scale. The music of this 'Lost World' climbed when waiting there. Perhaps everyone thought they'd be listening to a symphonic score similar to the full story and the previous one. When the lid was opened, the sound more than expected was actually developed. Naturally, there is also a sequel, the theme of the previous work, The approach of a completely different tune is made here while I think that the tune with the motif comes out. In the previous work, I had a fairly avant-garde underscore in the whole movie, but this time I'm going to listen to the whole story of a very easy-to-understand game music. It is. These musics are a good way to get a taste of the traditional Williams Sound, but you can extend it to a different sense of his sound. It is "Congo" based on the same Crichton. You can taste music composed by Jerry Goldsmith that is reminiscent of a fluffy, sharp and thrilling score. Even so, all these songs are It is impressed that it is a place where the sound making of the veteran is done to make the sound without wasting it and to let it hear at once to the end. After all, it would be no shame to say that without Williams' music, a Spielberg movie would not be having it. I saw "Lost World" on my feet, I was able to meet Williams, who entered Boston to conduct Boston Pops. "Working with Spielberg was always amazing and wonderful, and I really enjoyed this song," Williams said. He was able to talk about the sound making of today's movie even interesting. "When we first worked with Spielberg on music, our challenge was to develop the score of the previous film Jurassic Park by connecting it well to "Lost World". It was somewhere. As represented by dinosaurs such as Raptor and Tyrannosaurus, Hammond and Malcolm, it appeared once in the previous work and the theme song of his characters is "Lost. He had to use it in World as well. In addition to that, I also tried to develop from "Jurassic Park" and create a new theme. When I started composing, I tried to incorporate her Ealing, an ethnic sound heard on the South Pacific islands, like Polynesian music. That's because he wanted the Lost World to feel like she was in another world, far from the real world. That's why, especially drums and his Congo, drums, Polynesian drums, Afuri he used a lot of percussion on folk drums such as can drums. In terms of another world, so was the introduction of the shakuhachi. In the music of my previous movies (such as "Empire of the Sun") I use a lot of shakuhachi, but the tone of the shakuhachi is really mysterious and fantastic. It reminds me of being somewhere else. Overall, composing music was more demanding than the work I've ever been in charge of. The composition period also took 8 to 10 days, and the score was 96 minutes net. Therefore, it is also long to prepare for recording. I spent a long time. So it's been 8 days to record using the Yakestra! It was really a very very hard work." -(May 31, 1997, in Boston/Yasu Yasuo) Certainly due a...proper... translation.
