Had to bail during March of the Resistance! 6 year old could not handle it!  I give him credit for holding on that long!  Lockhart selection awesome!!  Hoping for a recording like last years!

Jwfan forever!

Couldn't he think up any new interesting stories after a dozen VIII sessions?

In a year's time he'll start using the same anecdote for Episode IX!

Don't worry none; its only TFA.

Is there a set-list, by any chance?

Anyone planning on posting the specific program details for last night's concert?

Next year's film night should be ace since it will inevitably include concert pieces from The Last Jedi

When he told the story again about telling Kathleen Kennedy he didn't want anyone else writing music for Daisy, I thought he was going to announce he secretly scored Murder on the Orient Express!

He wouldn't fuck Doyle again, would he?

I wait for the audio... that will surely be posted on the BSO website in a few days... :-)

Then I'll add the program to the "concert" section of my website.

Please contribute if something is missing, thanks!  No bootlegs, only official recordings, of course!

Why not? Newell fucked JW.

Set-list? This isn't a Pink Floyd did!

"A Pink Floyd did"? Eh? Someone's raving and drooling.

Whatever it's called, what was played?

He sounded... OK.  Much better than pre-pacemaker, not QUITE as lively as last year, which was the best he'd been in years.

He wiped his nose a bit, might have just been slightly under the weather

The second evening was the same but still great. Again i wasn't able to get an autograph. There were a lot of people blocking me who didn't go to the concert. They sell the autographs on Ebay is wat i heard :(.

EDIT:

It appears this concert will be available on-demand... in a month. :(

Oh, that's too bad.

But something that is available now is this:

Lights! Camera! Music! The Magic of John Williams!

Keith Lockhart leads the Boston Pops in a tribute to legendary film composer and Pops Laureate Conductor John Williams, including iconic scores like Raiders of the Lost Ark and E.T. as well as rarely heard gems like Heidi and The Towering Inferno.

This seems to be the complete birthday concert, only part of which can be heard on the new CD.

EDIT: I'm just skimming through because I don't feel like listening to the whole thing, but apparently they played the 3rd movement of the tuba concerto (which I've never heard before). Wasn't on the program:

EDIT #2: I no longer believe this is the birthday concert, although it shares some selections -- rather, it is from May 24:

So I think we're looking here at different performances of "Heidi," "Towering Inferno," "Stargazers," etc. than the CD!
