Ninety-six glass containers of fermented hops infused malted barley on the partition structure, ninety-six glass containers of fermented hops infused malted barley, if one of those glass containers should happen to succumb to gravity, ninety-five glass containers of fermented hops infused malted barely on the partition structure!

In my head, I heard this sung in the voice of Martin from The Simpsons.

Quarantine has been a colourful ordeal, but all in all I've been able to check off a few things off my list with the help of my family, who I've been shacked up with over these weeks (Is it months now? Huh). Here are some items of interest:

- I finished rebuilding the deck! And I've been reading on it a lot, even having an early breakfast there from time to time.

- My cat got a tad too friendly with a skunk not but two days ago, and it apparently didn't share his absent-minded sense of friendship. Case in point, he's been locked out for a few days but I've been washing him well every morning and he should be able to scamper around indoors again soon (he's a half in, half out cat as it is). Fortunately the temperature hasn't been all that high lately, although we did get up to a humid 35 degrees Celsius last weekend.

- I have yet to officially begin my golf and tennis season, even though the required institutions are now up and running again. Unfortunately the annual charity tournament that I normally attend has been cancelled well in advance. Get 'em next time!

- With more "free time" than I might normally have, I've been able to finish The Office US. I really enjoyed the last season, and while the show did have its distinct ups and downs I really felt that the final series was a near-perfect send-off.

Thus ends my update for the mstrox. It's been a while, yes, but the mstrox is always. Peace!

I have truly perfected my pancake recipe and cooking process during this pandemic.  I make pancakes for the family every Saturday morning, and at this point I have to say I'm making the most delicious pancakes I've ever eaten every weekend.

What about waffles?

My waffle iron broke a few months ago, unfortunately.  I'm in the market for a new one, but it's surprisingly difficult to choose one.  Especially because I like to make classic American style waffles (shallow pockets) instead of Belgian (deep pockets).

That's also what Europeans like. Belgian waffles is an anomaly.

I don’t know how they became so popular as to be the default waffle maker here.  It’s annoying.

my spouse is fairly newly vegan (well, allergic to dairy and when she found out, said, why not cut out eggs at this point too) so ive been making tolerable waffles and pancakes over the pandemic

I've got milk intolerance (due to milk protein) and a few months ago I cut out gluten as well, which definitely has given relief. It's difficult enough to bake with alternative ingredients, so I'm glad I can eat eggs. They'll never take my eggs!

No, it's not funny!

And you did that just to be able to post this.

richard i appreciate ur plight but id strongly recommend a second phone charger, one for each locale

I agree, but why couldn't you have recommended it before I went to work, huh?

i have cheap $5 wireless charging pads in my bedroom, my tv room, my makeshift "office" at home, and my office at work.

Great. Can you loan me one?

You think I wanna post about my troubles, to a bunch of stunted manchildren, obsessed with space movies and some old guy who writes music?!

We didn't put in the mushrooms (neither of us like them), and Marcy was worried it might come out dry as a result, but we both thought is was fine.  We also didn't have any walnuts, so she used almond flour and flaxseed meal.  The gravy was pretty thick and not very runny, so next time she'll adjust that too (we both like a runny grave but ymmv)

do it stu

were having slumber party night tonight - we washed up our kids sleeping bag, were gonna watch two movies (realistically one movie plus a little for her before sleep)  (maybe for me too, as i was up until after 3 last night running).  but the movies are hook (!!) and storks (??).   made chex mix and "puppy chow" last night, and gonna make homemade pizza and vegetarian wieners in a blanket, a good downstairs basement snack dinner!  little dumb things to make our kid feel like something is different while we stay at home

i think that's very common, jay, one of the most common food aversions.  i love mushcrooms, but not so much when theyre the main course (ie a big grilled portabello or portabello sandwich) - but as a topping, mix-in, or ground/cut up in something like a loaf, im there baby
