Bespin Copilot 10,731 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Full moon July 9th... and I'm right in the middle of the midlife crisis... The "forties" crisis like we say in french. Wahouuuuu!!!! Fuck, anybody survived this, being in couple?
Cerebral Cortex 3,365 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Arrgh, I be sorry to hear you be experiencing this, me bucko. I hope you can clear these rocky waves and soon sail into calmer waters.

Code 000. Destruct. 0. 4,262 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 I've been going through this since I was like 20, and unless I die at 70, I'm not even at midlife yet. When it was at full swing a few years ago, know what I did? Joined JWFan. Ricard 1
Koray Savas 2,260 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 I like to call it existentialist depression. Welcome!
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,173 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Those are a walk in the park compared to a mid-life crises Koray. Better be ready!

Bespin Copilot 10,731 Posted July 6, 2017 Author Posted July 6, 2017 Having an affair is currently only a fantasma... Currently.... All those beautiful men everywhere, I can't resign myself that I will turn my head soon and I be 60. I maybe have not the body of my 20s, but I still have them in my head. My libido is at 400 %! This is horrible. I'd would never expect this psychological and physical blend.... And well, the little depression that comes with that I guess...

Quintus 6,319 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Again with that??? Anyway, I thought Alex was single.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,173 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Probably, but you do like to take on that same smug "I'm not like the rest of you guys" attitude.
Quintus 6,319 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 I've been saying that for years though, every time I am reminded that JWFan is inhabited by the more "geeky" individuals in society - as I see it. I'm not sure why you act surprised by it all the time. And yes, the perception of smugness is bound to be apparent, if one feels they are on the receiving end. Can't be helped, sorry.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,173 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 You and Alex are the only ones who have persistently done the "Stefan only watched Star Trek, Doctor Who and LOTR" thing! Twats!
Quintus 6,319 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 As for the whole Alexcremers comparison you have going on though, I am barely anything like the guy. His style is to sneer and undermine, he's a classic passive aggressor. He's never direct and unflinching about anything like I am. I'm interested in discussion and banter; not games. Of course, both can come across as twattish, I'll agree with that.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,173 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 I dunno, I think there's more than that. You're a shadowy reflection of him. Beloq and Indy....
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,173 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Once the Brexit is officially signed!

Wasn't really serious, although the two things did coincide. Actually, at its zenith, I was doing nothing but playing jazz gigs around Manhattan, getting stoned, and shagging the woman. It was my irresponsible rockstar phase.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,173 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 Getting stoned and shagging woman at age 40? sounds familar.
Bespin Copilot 10,731 Posted July 6, 2017 Author Posted July 6, 2017 Learning jazz or get stoned, that's an idea. Weed will be legal in Canada next year, I hate the smell, but I will retry it. "Shagging" women, I'm not sure!
Disco Stu 15,517 Posted July 6, 2017 Posted July 6, 2017 I'm turning 30 in 2 months and I have 2 kids 3 and under. I don't have time for crises!

Popular Post Ricard 2,540 Posted July 7, 2017 Popular Post Posted July 7, 2017 Although not a mid-life one, I went through a deep crisis in the late '90s during which I wasn’t working or doing anything productive with my life, other than spending countless hours a day on the internet. During that time I founded JWFan. John, Disco Stu, Cerebral Cortex and 1 other 4

Bespin Copilot 10,731 Posted July 12, 2017 Author Posted July 12, 2017 What do you think about difference of age between two lovers? Are you in couple with someone older or younger than you?
Xander Harris 9,546 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I keep forgetting whether I'm supposed to log in as Rose Dawson, Selina Kyle, Kira Nerys or Evil-Lyn.

Xander Harris 9,546 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Because they're mentally immature and trying to hold on to their rapidly fading youth. They cling and they cling, but like Miss Trudy, a terrible inevitable fate awaits them. Later, as they...grow...follows madness. And death.

Jill Sandwich 11,030 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I'm getting too old for women in their 20s.
Quintus 6,319 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 It's not that you should be concerned about; at your age you'll be very lucky to find a woman without children.
Jill Sandwich 11,030 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Yeah children are unacceptable baggage.
#SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 12,173 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Good luck finding a woman in her 30's who doesn't have kids, and/or isn't carrying a whole load of emotional baggage.
Quintus 6,319 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 With his strict criteria in place, perhaps Jerry will be forever alone then? That'd surely be a waste.
Jill Sandwich 11,030 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 I can deal with a woman's emotional baggage. That's not so bad. Although I have had some problems with their bizarre daddy issues. But you can't do anything about their kids. I can't just make them go away. Plus I'm not good with kids anyway.

Jill Sandwich 11,030 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 Compared with the nightmare scenario of a woman having kids, some emotional issues are... kids' play!

Jill Sandwich 11,030 Posted July 12, 2017 Posted July 12, 2017 And what's this about a "strict criteria"? It's not like I'm asking for specific hair colour, eye colour, astrological sign, bank balance and post code!
