Prisoner Of Azkaban is the only great Potter score. Sorcerer’s Stone is nigh on unlistenable in its overbearing panache.

:o

Well, each to his own. SS started my interest in scores and I love how it sounds as a standalone listen (I agree it's a bit overbearing in the film).

The film is terrible and the score is uninspired, so no.

Ok. Maybe definitely not your cup of tea. But.

I didn't like this score when it came out, it is the first score I said Williams has lost "it".

After these years I started to like it, now I love it!!

The live performance is so incredible that it really made Williams to shine, my appreciation did grow for this score, it is pure magic.

I hope all of his scores can have this treatment, this man is a gem.

Number 3 is Heartbeeps, I wager?

Hook has some good stuff. My favorite track has always been

Especially with that playfully evil climax, it's one of the closest times I feel like Spielberg and Williams got to that feeling of putting on a live stage show spectacle (one of the few scenes in the movie where everything actually worked).

Never listened to Home Alone outside of the film

Outside of some great highlights, Hook and Sorcerer's Stone aren't that interesting.

C'mon, Diet sugar-free daddy, get some.

I was mostly thinking of Hook.

Though to be fair, Hook's hard-working childishness is a far cry from the (mostly) dark and mysterious Potter world (it's actually quite dissonant).

Yeah, the dark sections of Potter play quite well against the more sugary lyrical passages where Hook is all sugar to the point of tedium.

Indeed. That's why I prefer Harry Potter over Hook.

TLW?

It's badass like Jerry Goldsmith, but it's too jazzy.
