And Express Mail is the only option where they can provide tracking information. $45 is way too steep. Its better to order other titles in bulk to justify such a high shipping cost. Others like La-La Land, Intrada and Movie Music provide tracking without paying an additional $ 45,- (that's on top of the regular shipping costs) so why can't SAE? Croweyes1121 14
I'm surprised that there's never really any mention of the 5.1 SACD version of this score when evaluating which version sounds best. It's kind of my go-to with this one. It doesn't have the exact film mix of everything, but it's sure nice having it in high-res and in surround. I personally think it sounds pretty great. I'm ordering this set immediately, though. Looks like a really glorious package. I don't mind about the shipping delays. I'll get it when it's available, that's all that matters to me. It's not like I don't already own 98% of the material anyway. No rush.

It's mostly front heavy, but it does open things a bit more than the standard stereo configuration. BUT, in terms of sound quality, the 96 CD still wins. Popular Post Jay 37,363
Catching up on recent posts: 1) ET goes up for sale about 3 hours from the time of this post 2) Ordering directly from La La Land Records is the ideal option if you live in the US, no doubt http://www.lalalandrecords.com/ The reason is because all of the $30 goes to the label that way, plus their share of the shipping price. If you order from a 3rd party reseller like Screen Archives or Movie Music, LLL only gets their portion of the sale (I don't know the numbers, but say $25), with the rest (say $5) going to the store and the store gets all the shipping markup too. The more money a label gets per release, the more money they have to fund future releases of scores we want! Oh and ALSO, you'll get the CD sooner if you order directly from them, too! If you live in Europe, I understand how incredibly expensive it can be to order from any US store these days, luckily Music Box Records is based in Europe and does the importing for you. You don't have to wait to put your order in, either, their ordering page is already up: https://www.musicbox-records.com/en/cd-soundtracks/5171-e-t-the-extra-terrestrial-35th-anniversary.html 3) This new set will not sell out for a long time! Nobody needs to feel rushed that they MUST order it today! As has been pointed out, this music has already received multiple expansions, and the other recent Matessino/Williams/LLL releases are all still available. #SnowyVernalSpringsEternal 10,265
Jason is correct. I would normally order via Musicbox, but since this is one of my all time favorite scores I will get it directly from LLL. Also When I was in LA I acquired 14 LLL releases without having to pay any shipping costs. So I figure I can splurge. 3 minutes ago, filmmusic said: Will they have samples up?
