Not sure if this has been posted yet but here is a four part documentary about Alexander (Sandy) Courage who wrote the original Star Trek tv theme along with much else.  It is hosted by John Williams:

You know, I just watched a bit of this over the weekend.  Popped up in my recommended Youtube videos.  Very cool stuff.

You can still hear his accent there, whatever the hell it is. "Awchestra." While Horner was known to occasionally abandon his Madonna accent, he still kept it right to the end. Williams, it seems, grew tired of composing his accent.

I can detect the New York accent in his recent interviews too.  Maybe not as noticeable as it once was.

I have that film on a CD-R somewhere. Everything that I used to own privately is now being put out on Youtube! All exclusivity is lost!

That extended Star Trek opening theme ... it reminded me of Amongst The Clouds ...

Somebody should make a youtube video of the 'Enterprise flying by' shots scored with Williams' Amongst The Clouds music.
