BrotherSound 2,242
Some excerpts from the E.T. Adventure ride manual, via Reddit: I thought Botanicus was the name of the planet, but apparently that’s actually the name of E.T.’s teacher, so it’s just the “green planet”. Also, E.T.’s friends have some interesting names.
Popular Post Amer 2,087
Just saw this post on MVs Facebook: Perhaps the most amazing credit our little 20 year old label has ever achieved...can't wait to see E.T. in Imax this August! #et40th #ettheextraterrestri Can this mean a reissue is expected? Amer 2,087
Yes. It seems so. I guess it will be the same program. Unless they miraculously found the lost tapes of the OST session and redid the OST album as a new remaster. Otherwise it will be same reissue. Good opportunity for those who missed it. OH!! they might redo the cover design because it's the 40th. Just like the 20th Anniversary artwork on AI. JTN

You mean, Mike is so good at remstering from old sources, he could even do it from the ashes of the burned original tapes? crumbs, Chewy, Amer and 3 others 2 1

rough cut 1,714
If they redo the cover… the work Titus did on creating the LLL cover is fantastic, it captures the mood and plot of the film spectacularl. I couldn’t believe it was an assembly of old and new material, the art direction and layout is just beyond amazing. Sometimes I google the thing and just look at it, immediately whisked away into dreams of my childhood. Chewy

I actually bought the 2017 set and then decided to make someone at the thrift store happy with it a year later. This score works much better in OST form for me, minus the Halloween concert track though.

All you need is some Howard Hanson and the last movement of Mahler’s 9th Symphony and JW didn’t need to write anything else 😜.
