Hector J. Guzman 1
Anybody else saw this? I did. Erich Kunzel conducted Williams' "Summon the Heroes" at the annual "National Memorial Day Concert" from Washington. Got it on tape... barely!
King Mark 3,625
Kunzel conducting Summon the Heroes?...I'd love to have that on c.d.He conducted my favourite version of Olympic Fanfare and Theme, and did a great job(sometimes surpassing Williams himself)on conducting Williams pieces on some of his albums.Spacecamp End Credits notably, where he (in a good way),out -bombasts Williams.K.M. Eplicon 53
"Summon the Heroes" is a bit of staple with the National Symphony Orchestra. In 1996, I was at the annual Fourth of July thingy in Washington D.C., where Kunzel did his usual guest conducting gig at the concert, and that was one of the themes they played. It was really nice to hear it live.
