Nick1Ø66 5,620
After Lucas himself, no one has been more important to Star Wars than Williams. On this subject there can be no debate. Obi

Even with the 7th score already almost 2 years old, it's still hard for me to wrap my mind around the fact we're getting new John Williams Star Wars scores. Very lucky indeed. Popular Post mrbellamy 6,652
Quote Once that happens to you once, it can never happen to you again, because then you expect the magnificent. And he never disappoints. The fact that he’s still going is an absolute miracle, because he’s a national treasure, and we all love him. The end. This should be inscribed somewhere on the home page. Popular Post Xinau 14
Beautiful article. Quote He’s just a virtuoso, like any great director, of eliciting emotion from the audience. I was at Celebration Orlando this year, and at the end of the 40th Anniversary Panel, I heard George say something to others on the stage -- I don't think he was directing this at the audience, but I'm not sure -- "if you wanna know the secret sauce to Star Wars, there it is". And he motioned towards JW, who was off to the side, taking his bows after conducting Princess Leia's theme and the Imperial March. Arpy 4,159
http://projectorandorchestra.com/mark-hamill-on-john-williams-importance-to-star-wars/ Quote And, sure, I knew John Williams—I loved his score to Jaws. I knew how infective that was. And in retro I realized how much of his music I knew as a kid, on TV, with all the Lost in Space and Land of the Giants. I didn’t know any of that then, you see what I’m saying, so I didn’t really know what he was capable of. It didn’t really occur to me. I think I’d heard that he was doing this score, and that’s about as much as I knew. But I certainly wasn’t expecting to hear it in that moment. But when we arrived at our destination, I was absolutely so blissed out, I mean… I never… I can’t say in words how thrilling and moving and how everything it was! karelm
