It's a very strong opening section for an OST. Every cue of the first seven includes at least one little highlight for me. "Old Friends" is becoming more and more a favorite of mine! I like this slightly unusual variation of the force theme. Jay

Damien F 1,742
You know what would have been awesome, if JW has written individual concert arrangements for Rose and Luke/Rey training themes, and the music that is in The Rebellion is Reborn which alternates between the two was part of the end credit suite. Popular Post Brundlefly 2,385
Some cues really indicate the return of the musical beast that JW unleashed back in 1997 which he put in a cave after 2005. I bet this time it's the third score of a SW trilogy that is gonna be the best. So far it seems like a build-up to the final finale. I'm not complaining, I'm just speculating on what a more traditional approach to the album would have sounded like with dedicated theme concert tracks, and Rebellion is Reborn sounds like an end credits arrangement to me. Popular Post Supaflyryguy 12
This recording just feels more alive than TFA to me. TFA sounded dark and this feels more open. James 119
This score feels more like a SW score than TFA. Even with the limited amount of new themes, this is rewarding. 2 hours ago, Oswin Pond said: Hey ! Oswin Pond 58
No for TFA is was the choirs in the background that sounded like Palpatine's teaching, I'm talking about something else that occurs when Palpatine mentions Plagueis (unlike the choirs that stop when Palpatine talks about him but people forgot about that ) and just after he killed Mace Windu

The Plagueis material wouldn't make sense in this context if it were an intentional lift because we know Plagueis as a character was killed and that the material for that scene I think spoke more to Palpatine's treachery than Plagueis himself. Alan 689
Almost a week of listening to this album and it just seems to get better. I'm finding that rather than skipping around to different highlights I'm just letting the album play from beginning to end. There's usually a few tracks that I don't bother with but there's really nothing here that I feel the need to skip. I really like the transition fro score to source music in Canto Bight! leeallen01 2,136
I just read an interview with Williams about that Canto Bight piece, where he says he used a goat to make the kazoo sound, not a kazoo.
