What does this even mean? That because I happen to be outside of the suggested age range of a Pixar movie, I can't enjoy it and have an opinion of my own?

Disney and Pixar make (and made) their films for all.

I, for one, am a fan.

Wow, best original screenplay was probably the most interesting category yet.  Wouldn't have been upset by any of them winning, all good screenplays.  Good for Jordan.  Now it makes me wonder who will win best director and best movie...

...now let me get back to looking at Star Wars memes.

Well that explains a lot.

Wow Roger Deakins won!  About time!

Standing ovation too!

Good for him!

So, best cinematography for Blade Runner.

Though I wonder how much of it is real cinematography and how much it is Computer FX.

Wall-E and How To Train Your Dragon proved Deakins to be quite adept at that medium too.

Cinematography is cinematography regardless of medium.

It’s 2018, no thanks.

lol what?  It's a completely uncompressed 1080p signal in 5.1 you can get for free. what's the issue?

Yes.  Though I appreciate the purists' view.  Light and lens has something computers just can't touch.

I don't consider compositing light using a computer software cinematography.

Congrats to Desplat for his win tonight; it was a fine score. I was personally rooting for Johnny, but hey, there's always a chance he'll win for IX.

Wow best director was like best screenplay category where there was a bunch of good options I liked (I didn't see Phantom Thread but saw all the others).  Good for Guillermo, though Pan's Labyrinth is probably better than Shape of Water, I did like Shape of Water a lot though!
