1) Please move this thread to General Discussion, @Jay

2) Orson Bean dead at 91, killed in traffic in LA

This makes me sad, I grew up with him on Dr Quinn, he was old and still had his wife, he was happy. He just made that mistake they tell you to never do: step out between parked cars into traffic. 😔

He was married to Ally Mills, who's a regular on The Bold and the Beautiful.

I'm not familiar with the show but the younger version of the Flash, played by Logan Williams, has died at 16.

Indian actor Irrfan Khan has died at 53.

Man this hurts. Really liked him as an actor; he was great in Life of Pi:(

Jill Gascoine (that's Mrs. Alfred Molina, to you), has died, at the age of 83. For those of a certain age, she was the epitome of 70s/80s sexiness. THE GENTLE TOUCH was a great show.

Lennie Niehaus, 1929-2020. Mainly notable in the past few decades of film scoring as the musical collaborator of Clint Eastwood. The only music I have by him on CD is some 13 minutes on the first Amazing Stories volume (prominently quoting several Wagner themes which must have some relevance to the story).

Does anybody here remember Vera Lynn?
Remember how she said that
We would meet again
Some sunny day?
Vera, Vera
What has become of you
Does anybody else in here
Feel the way I do?

I saw FEARLESS at the cinema, on its first release. I was profoundly moved by it. I love it, still.

This was the first time I heard a director use Gorecki.

It was truly inspired.

Other directors should stop using it - you can never top FEARLESS. It's the definitive use
