Could someone do a favor and photoshop out the bottom line of text that says "Includes Exclusive DVD" blah blah blah? Every high-quality scan of the ROTS album cover has it and it's annoying because it doesn't match the other prequel covers.

Here's a soundtrack cover I've made for the upcoming Disney+ Star Wars Series Andor composed by Nicholas Britell. I used official series concept art within the Star Wars logo. Overall it could be better quality but is 1000 by 1000

damn @heidl these are gorgeous!

 

and i'm usually not a fan of putting images within type/logos, but the use of the official artwork from the posters and the colors make it subtle enough. looks incredibly classy, no doubt would look better actually printed!

@Phantomjedi those are some of the most creative SW posters I've seen in a while. What is the art from? I think artists do things like put Star Wars Han Solo into Return of the Jedi just to bug the obsessives.

Yeah, Drew Struzan got bonkers with the wrong reference material for the Special Edition posters.  It really is distracting.

The artist is Nicolas Tetreault-Abel. It's cool work. I hope someone can do better with it than I did. Here are the originals. Please, somebody make a better album art with these!

These were on my to-do list to have a go at. I hope we get textless versions somewhere. @Phantomjedi your first batch is really nice! The placement of the logos on the posters makes it tricky to get these into a square cover format without cropping or adding to the sides, but your solution works well.

Can I make one request? Can you do a version that just says Original Motion Picture Soundtrack? If not, I am fine with the text as is. It is your creation after all. If you finish the set, it will definitely be my new cover art. 


Also on Nicolas Tetreault-Abel's website, he has an alternate Revenge of the Sith. It removes Vader's Castle and fixes Kenobi. I hate the new coloring he did though... I think it looks bad... So I also have my version of  a color correct below.

@May the Force be with You if I may offer a suggestion, you might try swopping the left and right most rock pillars around, shaving off some bits here and there and varying the height a little so it doesn't look like a direct clone of the ones next to them. Perhaps also add a bit of a fading shadow to the left and right edges of the art to make the extensions you have done a bit more subtle. It also helps to draw the eye away from the edges and towards the focal point in the centre.

@May the Force be with You Well done on creating square artwork from the original posters! 👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 They look great!

 

I am not asking you to do any changes - I won’t use these, I just appreciate good artwork and, from your side, passion - but from an “art direction” perspective would you think that the design would benefit by removing the two bottom yellow avatars that is present on every poster. They seem superfluous to me and gives a cluttered impression in an already busy design.
