Don't you mean Alien Cubed?

Of course it is. Corrected...although...as there is only one film called ALIEN, "Squared" might be more accurate. I'm just saying.

Thanks. I know its a beloved movie but its a mafia movie and those never interest me. I haven't seen it in at least 30 maybe 40 years.

It's only a mafia movie, on the outside. It's really the story of a family.

Masterful. The coldness of the outside reflects the coldness in Michael's heart.

I would say Tequila.

I don't think that's funny. I don't think that's funny, at all, I'm sorry.

He was a thief and a terrorist. On the other hand, he had a tremendous singing voice.

I love the use of the chair in the scene. Fredo sitting in this dramatically reclined chair is used to heighten his incompetence and limitations; he can barely even sit up as Michael towers over him.

Brilliantly executed and acted scene, maybe my favorite in the entire film.

"He has his father's eyes." Very disturbing for the 60's. I remember people screaming, one lady stood yelling Jesus Christ and crossing herself. My mom just kept muttering to my dad we shouldn't have brought Joe over and over.

When I saw JW's name in the main credits, for SUPERMAN RETURNS, I'm not ashamed to say that I shed tears.

Being moved to tears is a requirement to be a JW fan.fanatic

Trois Couleurs ... right? Should watch them again.

Rouge, yes. I watched Bleu a while ago, and as far as I remember I found it quite fascinating in execution but too cold/distant to make an emotional connection. I finally watched the other two last weekend, and while Blanc was "easier" but a bit too odd, I very much liked the last one. Fine score, too.

Recent viewing of Dirty Harry brought a couple, one of which might not count as a shot, so much as shots.

All in the football stadium (a scene made more memorable for how Schifrin's track goes nuts)

It's chiefly how it's set up. The stadium dwarfing everyone.

these being the shots...that evolve. Again the stadium appearing all encompassing, Eastwood at the fore then dwindling (and gamely holding the pose against the helicopter's down draft)

a slightly lesser one I'd have included is the shot of Eastwood on the Headlands as the body of the girl's recovered with Schifrin again helping out.
