Bruce's own words:

All I can tell you is that the album is finished, that we've mastered ALL the things I ever did in the theme parks, things from years ago, Mickey's Audition, short pieces, long pieces, and it's just waiting for Disney to release it. I think they're trying to figure out how they'd like to let it out, so as far as I understand, it's still in the works, but as far as my job on it, it's been done, the record company, we've completed our end, we're just waiting for the thing to be released.

Interestingly, Roger from Intrada didn't include Broughton on a recent list of composers he posted who have albums coming soon on the Intrada label, so this could be a Disney Legacy Collection title and not an Intrada title

True, which would be a bit of a surprise...of course it's also possible that Roger just isn't confident that all the approvals are going to go through before the end of the year. Something like this must be much more complicated than a straight film score release...

No, Roger's post quoted all this:

"this will be a 2 cd set containing pretty much everything broughton has composed for disney parks over the years it will be pretty comprehensive and does NOT contain broughtons music for soarin. last i heard it was waiting for disney to sign off on it and that intrada would be releasing it and that we were getting closer to an actual release announcement and date."

before his reply, so I'd guess it means that it won't be coming out on Intrada label (but rather Disney Legacy Collection like I said above), but it could be refuting any part or part(s) of the quote - who knows.

I’ve heard these rumblings for 4-5 years now so if it’s truly imminent, that’s fantastic!! But I’ve stopped holding my breath long ago.

The podcast that Bruce said this on came out in December 2017 so who knows what has happened since then

Agreed, and I'll be first in line to buy this collection when it's released, but I'm remaining cautiously optimistic.

In the meantime, here are three Disney theme park-related tracks composed by Broughton and shared on his website:

"From Time to Time" (Disneyland Paris/Tokyo Disneyland):

"Mickey's Audition":

I know it is not Broughton, but would absolutely love a mastered release of Horizons by George Wilkins.  Probably the best ride attraction music ever composed.  I have the foot warmer, but would love one with better sound.

I’m shocked, shocked that @Thor is actually intrigued by a complete collection of anything. ;)

In in all seriousness @Thor, great pic with Broughton!!

He, he....

I'm assuming these are bits and pieces -- themes and suites and the like -- so 'complete' in this sense is a-OK with me.

Fingers crossed! This would be an easy buy for me, particularly if it included everything recorded for Spaceship Earth and Honey, I Shrunk the Audience.

Same here, but for me, it’s The Timekeeper and The Making of Me.

Doug Fake posted an update on this project today!

All of the master elements are here in hand, including Soarin. As to when I'll have the box set completed, the answer is basically when my schedule allows and when Disney solidifies their release date. Every show in my opinion features a knockout score. I'd be hard-pressed to pick a favorite... but then there is little need to. I'll usually just be playing the entire set. --Doug

Damn, it's good to hear this isn't dead! This will be such an instant buy for me. I wonder if it'll include both of his Soarin' scores - there are a few scattered differences.
