ocelot 445
John Williams has been approached to talk on the DVD of Adventures of Robin Hood about the music of Korngold. So far he has said "We will see, I am extremely busy right now"I keep saying to myself, busy with what... But then I think he is doing the horn concerto and the disney thing, but I'm sure he can take an afternoon off to be interviewed for the DVD. It would be quite illuminating. Guest
But what is the Theme for Disney's Concert Hall? If it is only a short cue of introduction, it shouldn't take so much time to a guy like him (which in 3 months can write 2 hour of high symphonic music for a film...). Lurker 5
I can't get my hopes up. Though in theory this sounds like a cool thing, DVD supplements have really been lackluster lately. As long as The Adventures of Robin Hood comes out on DVD though, that's all I really care about.Neil
ocelot 445
Ricard,Someone involved with the DVD, a friend, I'm sorry, I don't have the OK to mention names. He called and asked me who I thought should do it and when I mentioned Williams, he said they already asked and are trying to find backups, so his ex and I thought of John Burlingame. Marian Schedenig 5,520
If this is true, it would be great. Backups? What about John Morgan and William Stromberg? Or are they already on it anyway? Marian - who can't wait for the DVD.

Guest
I think they should just dress someone up as John Williams and say its him for the interview. Maybe Al Roker with a grey beard.
Marian Schedenig 5,520
They are the team behind the upcoming complete score re-recording of The Adventures of Robin Hood on Marco Polo records.Along with tons of other great CDs on that same label. Typically, John Morgan does the score reconstructions and William Stromberg conducts the Moscow Symphony Orchestra. They're also both composers, having written at least on score to a documentary I think.Mr. Morgan also frequently posts at FSM and sometimes at MM.com. Marian - who thinks they're great. :spiny:

Guest
They would actually be excelent however I think they are looking for names which is why they probably won't go with John Burlingame.
