Serious question; I'm not familiar with that score As Dr Tenma mentioned it's mostly the horrible Madonna song at track 1 and the James Bond Theme [Bond vs. Okenfold] at track so really as far as the score proper is concerned the LaLaLand is the only one you REALLY need. It makes me think the score is obnoxiously electronic. And it has that awful Madonna song that made me think my CD player is busted. And that remix track. The complete score is much more varied than that album would leave you to believe. Karol

MrJosh 892
I had a blast listening to this. I waited until I listened to Schindler's List, all 3 Potter's and then saved this for desert. It's super fun, and I really enjoy the balance between the orchestra and electronics in this score. What is alternate about the Snow Business (alternate)? Is it just that the horn doesn't frack a note in this take? BTW, love the JohnBarry-ness of that queue. David Arnold does John Barry better than John Barry does. Casino is my favorite piece of David Arnold Bond source music. Love the melody on the flute's low register.
Anthony 572
Snow Business (Alternate) - the horn doesn't frack a note (which I actually consider an important part of the final piece, it sounds odd without it!) plus it has the extended ending. gkgyver 1,645
This is such a great score. Especially knowing the things that came after it. The themes for Elektra and Renard are so evocative, and I especially appreciate the stand alone qualities of the tracks. There are so many tracks that can stand alone almost as concert pieces, it's brilliant. Probably even better than Tomorrow Never Dies. I also noticed again how the music elevated so many scenes. Thomas Newman complements the film rather than adding to it, which is why it leaves so little impression, and in the end stays completely unremarkable. Newman's Bond scores are ball-less. I missed not having that technical section at the end of the liner notes like DAD had. Also interesting to hear about the Kamen estate wanting Die Hard to be a 3CD! Thanks! Must say I like the live drummer vs the programmed ones in the actual score... although it does appear a couple of times he's trying to keep up with the timing but great job the brass players are SPOT ON my only real change would be to turn down the guitar at the bond theme as it comes in really loud and yes having this recorded professionally would be a great track! Jay 37,336
Finally watched the video - wow! That was cool, and must have been hella fun to be in the room to experienec live! Too bad via this cell phone recording of it, the drums drown out a lot of the orchestral detail. But dang, what a fun cue!

But dang, what a fun cue! Yeah I couldn't tell if it was just cell recording or what. It was almost like the drum set was being amplified with mikes, which wouldn't make any sense to me. Obviously the electric guitar has to be amplified, but a drum set can be heard just fine alongside an orchestra.
