bollemanneke 3,346
But I love that mode! It makes me rediscover stuff I forgot about years ago. I loved it as a child too, it's part of my musical DNA.

Popular Post crumbs 14,313
One of the best blind buys of an expanded score I've done. Don't miss this! iamleyeti, Chewy and Yavar Moradi
Jay 37,355
Yes easily one of my favorite expanded film score albums of all time, after not being one I had been looking forward to beforehand. The TWINE score was a disappointment to me back in the day after the legendary TND, but this expansion completely changed my mind on it, so much so that I ended up thinking it was the superior score to TND! Of course, now that TND got expanded by Neil too, I'm back to thinking TND is the top, but it's super close. Yavar Moradi and crumbs

mstrox 6,651
Picked it up based on Jay’s rec above. I have LLL’s TND and DAD, but they’ve been sitting unplayed in my massive backlog of stuff (along with many of the recent JW expansions and even The Fabelmans). Basically this was a FOMO purchase, but if it shines a much more favorable light on the score than the pretty so-so OST, it’s probably worth a go. Jay 37,355
I think it does. My ONLY qualm with the main presentation is that Neil put the two Casino source music cues into the flow of the main program. For the version I put on my phone to listen to in the car, I moved those two tracks to the bonus track section crumbs

Richard Penna 3,687
I have a track called Casino in my playlist, which given the previous one in my ripped flacs (i.e. not in my curated playlist) is 'Casino Jazz' implies that I have the second source cue in my playlist if there are two of them. For the most part the presentation's great. The only thing I can think of that I would change is the track 'Body Double' which has a synth overlay on the album which the film dials out, making it a much more suspenseful cue. It would've been nice to present a 'lite' version as a bonus, but it may be that the elements to replicate that on album weren't present. And relately, to this day I'm not sure what's different about the two versions of Pipeline.

Yes, "Casino" and "Casino Jazz" are the 2 tracks I moved out of the main program, for me personally I prefer things that way. 3 minutes ago, Richard Penna said: The only thing I can think of that I would change is the track 'Body Double' which has a synth overlay on the album which the film dials out, making it a much more suspenseful cue. Ah, I haven't seen the film in 20+ years so had no idea the film mix of Body Double omitted the synth. That could have been a cool bonus track, yeah 3 minutes ago, Richard Penna said: And relately, to this day I'm not sure what's different about the two versions of Pipeline. When LLL's release came out I dug out a DVD I somehow owned, to just remind myself of what the music was doing in a few spots, and happened to notice that this scene was different. That skim reminded me that the original OST is actually pretty good at recognising most of the better parts. Except of course Snow Business. Someone was having a bad day when they decided to leave that off... 1977

TolkienSS 407
Front to end probably the most satisfying Bond score to listen to in complete form. I prefer it to TND, which sounds overcooked in parts. The Stealth Boat finale and anything after Underwater Discovery is a bit tedious for me. Except Kowloon Bay. Naïve Old Fart 9,522
I really like this score, except for the bit just after "Come In 007, Your Time Is Up", when Bond rolls down the Millennium Dome, and it turns into ALIENS. I mean, what the actual?!

Naïve Old Fart 9,522
38, or so, seconds into the cue. It's ALIENS. You must hear it: the snare; the brass. You must hear it!
