I'm actually starting to think that 2018 would have been a "year for the books" for JW fans even if they had released just this one set... 😂

Without:

The Cowboys

Dracula

Saving Private Ryan

Schindler's List

Thank you and you're welcome, mrbellamy.  Enjoy the collection :)

... is that a Darth Vader helmet reflected in the HP1 cover?

@6:48 you can hear the previously unreleased cue "Squeeze Play Waltz"

@8:18 is Winter's Spell

I love how much Squeeze Play Waltz there is! It's cut down SO much in the film.

Reading the POA liner notes and there are some really nice quotes from Alfonso Cuaron.

He also mentions that of course JW played him things on the piano, but that John saved Knight Bus for the sessions. "The hugest brass section I've ever seen in my life."

Also the bird flute solo was the very first cue recorded  Flautist Karen Jones performed it perfectly first try and John congratulated her.

Thanks for the sneak peek! I can't wait to read the whole thing.

The first cue recorded for HP1 was shockingly "5M4 Pt.4 Harry's Great Victory" while the last was "6M1A Christmas Music Box" (the keyboard version, not the singing version)

The first cue recorded for HP2 was "1M7 Escape From Dursleys", while the last was percussion overdubs for "1M1/1M2 Prologue Book II"

Have you considered collecting all this information in one place?

It's very fascinating to me, as a Williams-, Potter- and film-nerd!

Yeah, it was brought up before, but Jay is a busy man.

Oh, sorry, I must have missed it. I should have realized.

No problem at all. It's probably hundreds of posts ago...I'm not even sure which thread. But yeah. It will probably happen eventually. Hopefully.

EDIT: Found it

I've been working for a while on a way to get this sort of information out in a way similar to Mike's article on EOTS I link to above, but it hasn't gotten off the ground yet with everything else going on

As the uploader of the video, I am sure you can rotate it to its proper configuration.

So what's with the white frame around each of the individual covers anyway? Is it meant to make us feel more nostalgic somehow?

It's meant to clearly differentiate it from the OST albums, I think. Especially the PoA, where the cover image is identical to the OST. They sometimes do that with DVD covers too, when another edition is released.

But for nostalgia? No.
