Isn't it titiLLandus?

Ah, who cares!  :)

I do. Such a travesty John Williams made that mistake. The whole set is ruined for me now.

I also feel intense pain when someone mispronounces emeritus. Such a shame there is no appreciation for the linguarum regina anymore.

Hmm, I wonder  who proofread it... :P

The misser of A's strikes again 😱

I can't remember the correct spelling, though: it should be in the Hogwarts coat of arms, but I can't read it properly.

Two L's.

Well everybody worth their salt knows that.

For a Latin scholar, this seems to be your missing teeth fiasco eh, incanus?

Absolutely. I need to ask Stefan to add that extra "L" somehow. He is the wizard of booklet corrections.

I knew that 'cause Latin haunted my high school days, I just didn't want to be too Hermioney :D

Well Latin should be even more easy for an italian, than for a french speaking person, no?

At least it's good to speak latin with an italian acccent, that's better than with a french one (or an english one!)

French is also Neo-Latin, so...

Well, some of our words (prefixes and suffixes) comes from Latin, but greek too.

But reading true latin is totally unreadable for a french speaking person.

We can recognize some part of words, but very few.

And this is the time when, since there is absolutely nothing else to complain about, little things come up looking at the pictures again. Like in PS, wouldn't it make more sense to put the two score discs on one side together and the booklet and the bonus disc on the other?

Oh, I can just pop the two halves out from the black middle and switch them around. Fuck, this set is too perfect and gives me nothing to work with!

Yes, in right latin, you have to roll the "r" like in Italian.

And v is pronounced as w

so veni vidi vici would be weni widi wici

Uh… isn't it a simple "v" like in italian?

Venni, vidi, vinsi.

[NERD ALERT]

In Latin class, we were taught that Vs were pronounced as Ws as well.

That's weird, didn't know that. We were taught Cs were like Ks, but we pronounced Vs like current Italian.
But then again, out Latin teacher was probably mentally unstable, and Ancient Romans are all dead, so who knows.
All I know is, if you go to Rome today, they pronounce curse words with a hard V :D

This "funny" thing

Oh, dear. That scene was the creepiest in the whole series.

Anyway, it's funny to see a Boggart transform into a scary clown, 'cause Pennywise the clown is basically a Boggart  :D

I purposefully chose this non-threatening angle, when it's not right in your face.

Here's some better pictures viewed from the front... Coz, you know, I got nothing better to do... 😂

That clown is basically a human skull with makeup, a red plastic nose, and wearing a clown costume!

There are academics who’ve been able to work out what is most likely. Graffiti and common misspellings from the period are a good way of working out pronunciation apparently.

Absolutely not.

It is. I studied Latin at university as part of my Masters.

Congrats and great pic! Enjoy the music.

BTW, where are you located again? Europe?

Thanks!

And yup I'm in Europe (though not for much longer). England to be exact.
