Popular Post MrJosh 892
Just finished Discs 1-3! This set is amazing. The sound quality is fantastic, I feel like I can hear clearer details and can distinguish individual instruments better than before. I particularly notice sparkling clarity on the flourishing magical jinglie sounds, such as harp, bells, celesta, chimes, etc etc. I love hearing the 'Cast a Christmas Spell' ghost song overlap into the bells version, what a great track. 'Fighting the Troll' and 'The Quidditch Match' are two of my most favorite action cues. I adore the 'family' theme, my two favorite cues being 'A Change of Season' and 'Leaving Hogwarts. ' Listening to the Children's Suite in one go is a wonderful experience. Love the surprise of 'Hedwig's Theme for harp' and of course, as others have mentioned, so great to have the Teaser and Trailer music. Hogwarts Forever with lyrics is the best thing ever! It brought me back to memories of trying to download that trailer on 56k dial-up on Apple's quicktime trailer website, and waiting for like 3 hours for it to load. Someone closed the browser and I had to start over...so mad! Anyway, I should probably know the answer to this but, what was "The Stone" supposed to score? Don't feel dumb, only something like 30 seconds was actually used there (don't quote me on the exact figure). While it's possible he scored some radically longer version of the scene that later got cut down, that doesn't seem too likely because there can't really be too much that more that can happen in that part of the movie . Honestly, in my personal opinion, I feel like he knew he just needed a little bit of the stone motif for the scene, and when writing he just got carried away and ultimately wrote basically a concert arrangement of the stone motif in the process. In my personal playlist, I prefer it in the children's suite instead of in the main program. I think it's supposed to mimic the heartbeat (or the blood pumping through the veins, not to put too fine a point on it), as the werewolf transformation commences... 1 hour ago, Space Pineapple Prod. said: I never see copyright stuff happen with unreleased music. I use Logic Pro and sync up the audio to exactly when the music hits. Then I just play the movie until it goes out of sync and I know an edit must be made. Then I mute the audio and export it and everything is good. TSMefford
