Popular Post Jay 37,359
20 hours ago, leeallen01 said: So where do you buy the score from? Whatever digital music store you prefer! The most commonly used stores for lossless files are 7Digital, Qobuz, or HDTracks. HDTracks ONLY carries albums that are available in high resolution, while both 7Digital and Qobuz have a large library of albums, at CD-quality 16/44.1 and sometimes higher res options too. The most commonly used stores for lossy files (which I do not personally recommend spending money on) are iTunes and Amazon (Google shut down their music store a while back) You can also legally listen to the whole album via ad-supported services like Youtube or Soundcloud, or ad-free with a paid subscription service like Spotify, Amazon Music, Youtube Music, or Tidal. Tidal actually offers lossless streaming, while Spotify allows you to easily store entire albums on your device so you don't have to be connected to the internet to listen to them whenever you want. 20 hours ago, leeallen01 said: And is it a download you can keep? If you buy files from any store yes, they are your files forever, to do with as you please. Most stores, I believe, should let you re-download them if you need to, but don't quote me on that (I've never needed to do so, so never investigated that) If you instead subscribe to a streaming service, you stream all the music you want through an active internet connection, and don't own anything. Though often these services keep a large cache on your device, so subsequent listens are not actually using more data because they're already local, and as I indicated above with spotify you can often click a button to make albums or playlists or tracks permanently available offline. Though with any subscription service, you lose access to everything if you stop paying your subscription fee. 20 hours ago, leeallen01 said: (Sorry, I never download scores. Another thing to note is that it is only Friday in a small number of countries right now; You'll have to wait until some time on Friday in your country to purchase this album from your store of choice - unless you want to get into VPN shenanigans (which I know nothing about) leeallen01, enderdrag64 and Yavar Moradi 2

I would only add for those folks that "16/44.1" isn't low res by any means, but is in fact perfect lossless CD quality, and for many people's ears it will be as good as it gets. For that small segment of the population that can actually detect an increase in quality beyond that, "high res" downloads above 16/44.1 will actually be BETTER sound quality than any CD can achieve, more on par with Super Audio CDs or even Blu-ray Audio discs. Jay 37,359
And to add on to that, you'll only actually hear the data from high res downloads properly if the DAC you are using supports it, and not all DACs support all resolutions sold Yavar Moradi

Jay 37,359
Qobuz has both a streaming service and a file purchase option In the US, 7Digital is cheaper than Qobuz If you want to legally listen to this album for far less money, you can listen on youtube for completely free, you'll just get an ad in between every few tracks https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mQH0-QRrgc33D21VGT5tgRgvcUGC0YUe4 Or, you can subscribe to Spotify for like $12 a month, and hear not only this album but more also film score albums that you can even imagine Without good equipment to listen to music on, owning downloaded files is not really going to do as much for you as if you did. I'm actually laughing whilst listening to this score because my brain can't comprehend its brilliance. I made it 3 tracks in before having to go back and restart because it's already blowing my mind. I watched the damn series and went crazy about the music then, but hearing it now is somehow frying my brain. It's sensational. Oh, and also can we just scream to the heavens about how fu**ng incredible Kevin Kaska is?! JNHFan2000, Dave, ricsim88 and 4 others 4

leeallen01 2,136
Kaska's action scoring is so complex and so filled with orchestrational genius, yet it never feels overly-stuffed or too much to listen to. He has the Williams gene. Raiders of the SoundtrArk and Jay
