I'm going through every individual cue from every episode right now.

So far it looks to be around 6-7 tracks per episode, or around 20-25 minutes on average per episode.

Please tell me the “Pterodon is Ready for Shakedown” sequence from episode 1 is included!

It is! I'm slowly trying to compile a list of everything that's detectable. Here's the list for the first episode:

-ELECTRIC SHEEP-

Battling the Kaylon
Gordon Flies In
Claire Visits Isaac/Training Exercises
Isaac Is Found/Ed's Speech
Leaving the Dockyard/Under Fire
Powering Isaac Up/All Is Well

Wow amazing. Typical it comes out when I’m on holiday but always good to have something to look forward to when I get home! Might have to iTunes this as an album for each episode…

If a specialty label is willing to take the risk of producing a physical CD edition of this, it's already set up to be split over 4 discs

DISC 1 - Main Title & Episodes 1 & 2 (59:26)

DISC 2 - Episodes 3-5 (1:16:47)

DISC 3 - Episodes 6-8 (1:09:25)

DISC 4 - Episodes 9 & 10 & End Title (1:11:27)

So where do you buy the score from? And is it a download you can keep?

(Sorry, I never download scores. I only buy physical copies, so I genuinely don't know.)

The most commonly used stores for lossless files are 7 Digital, Qobuz, or HDTracks, though that last one only sells albums that labels release in high definition (while the other two stores sell high res as well as 16/44.1)

Your whole post was a fantastic answer, Jay, which I feel inclined to bookmark and share with people I talk to who are just getting into purchasing film music in download form. I would only add for those folks that "16/44.1" isn't low res by any means, but is in fact perfect lossless CD quality, and for many people's ears it will be as good as it gets. For that small segment of the population that can actually detect an increase in quality beyond that, "high res" downloads above 16/44.1 will actually be BETTER sound quality than any CD can achieve, more on par with Super Audio CDs or even Blu-ray Audio discs.

And to add on to that, you'll only actually hear the data from high res downloads properly if the DAC you are using supports it, and not all DACs support all resolutions sold

Thanks!

Is it not available at something like Amazon?

Never spend money on lossy files.  Lossless files from Qobuz or 7Digital is the way to go.

I'm a tech moron, so I don't even know the difference.

Aren't lossless files much larger?

Larger? Yea.

Much? No, not really.

Okay. Because I don't have a computer. I just use my phone to listen to things. I have very cheap, shitty wired earphones too haha. So I don't listen to things with super expensive top quality headphones. Just £5 cheap shite.

So would the sound quality really make a difference in that case?

And the website Qobuz says to listen on their app. Can I not just listen to it on my phone without downloading the app?

Sorry about my general lack of knowledge.

Qobuz has both a streaming service and a file purchase option

In the US, 7Digital is cheaper than Qobuz

If you want to legally listen to this album for far less money, you can listen on youtube for completely free, you'll just get an ad in between every few tracks

https://music.youtube.com/playlist?list=OLAK5uy_mQH0-QRrgc33D21VGT5tgRgvcUGC0YUe4

Or, you can subscribe to Spotify for like $12 a month, and hear not only this album but more also film score albums that you can even imagine

Without good equipment to listen to music on, owning downloaded files is not really going to do as much for you as if you did.

Thanks. I have been wanting to buy a good pair of proper headphones because I'm missing out on so much better listening experiences. But have no idea where to start. I just want an affordable pair of headphones that will give me a better experience, but it's like learning a new language.

Here's everywhere I have found to purchase or stream this album

This is using US pricing and links, but shouldn't be hard to find your country's version on the same platforms

Hollywood Records does not appear to be selling it in high resolution at this time.

EDIT: Official link to all platforms:

I’m not exactly sure why, but 7digital Canada seems to sell it quite a bit cheaper

$17 Canadian seems quite cheap. Glad I picked it up before they realize their mistake.

I'm rewatching the whole season with the music next to it. I forgot how well spotted this show is. It's never overscored or underscored.

I'm at episode 7 now and there is, up to this point, not a lot of important music missing.
