I loved the first season of Fallout!  I had no idea what to expect (never played any of the games) and it hooked me right from its great pilot episode.

I hope the second season is as good or better than the first, and it isn't a lightning in a bottle situation

Did you like it more or less than The Last Of Us?

Really? I thought you liked it?

My mum weirdly loved it (she has zero interest in gaming) but I switched it off part way through episode 3.

Hmmm, good question.  The two Last of Us games are incredible, and tell a great story incredibly well.

The first season of the show was really good, but I disliked a lot of the changes and cuts they made to the story.  Still good though.

Second season was a big disappointment.  Way too many changes and cuts to the great story of the great second game.  So many changes, it's hard to see how the ending of the story will be told well after how they handled just the first third of it.  We'll see.

Comparing the two shows is kind of like apple and oranges though.  The only similarity is that they both adapt video games.  The Last of Us is a more serious character drama.  Fallout is a more funny adventure story.

I really enjoyed Mr Scorsese and would love more of these multi part docs on other directors like Spielberg, Coppola, and Lucas.

Who gives a dripping piss for NuTrek, fake Star Wars, or the tired tales of the MCU, nor for the endless parade of other painted entertainments upon the screen. By Jupiter’s cock, let hearts be set aflame! Tomorrow dawns the premier of Spartacus: House of Ashur...new season of blood and glory, greatest among all shows birthed by man!

And Graham McTavish!

Sorry to comment on this late, but now I saw the post.

Well... if you ask me, bad idea to touch upon masterpieces of the past, and remake them (even as films or TV series).

You would ask of course: "don't you like ANY remake then of a masterpiece"?

If the original 1933 King Kong is considered a masterpiece, then yes, I love the 1976 version.

And if the silent 1925 Ben-Hur is considered also a masterpiece, then I love the 1959 remake.

I could mention a bunch of remakes I love, but some films should remain untouched!

Imagine if Jaws was remade, or E.T., or Raiders of the Lost Ark, or I don't know what..

I LOVE the 1976 Kong. Love it unabashedly.

Remakes better than the original :

  • The Thing
  • The Fly
  • The Mummy
  • True Grit
  • Battlestar Galactica

6 seasons. 65 episodes. Concerned with legacy. Profound and lasting impact. Just finished spectacularly in 2025.
