If this is representative of Zimmer’s approach for the film, I’m cautiously optimistic...

Is this from the score? Sounds like an adaptation of the Eilish song.

According to hans-zimmer.com it’s from the score, but it was originally posted by Eilish, so it could just be an instrumental of the song...maybe a film version of the main title?

That's definitely the orchestral arrangement for the song.

It's also a pungent reminder of how limp that banal riff is...

Why does the man have a shiny head?

He thinks he's the Messiah of film music.

It's @Bilbo in disguise.

Here's Zimmer at his most comfortable: surrounded with hip, cool and trendy pop artists and giving interviews on the media.

We need to talk about the new 007 movie. Get Hans Zimmer and two people no one ever heard of in pajamas.

That's exactly the point. Why waste his time doing unimportant stuff like scoring the movie? He pays his minions to do just that. Meanwhile, he can hang out with only the cooler and most trendy pop artists (I bet he doesn't even think about Pharrell anymore) and hyping his scores on all the news outlets, which will publish stuff like "The first 007 score by the legendary composer of Gladiator, The Lion King and The Dark Knight" and "his first collaboration with Grammy Award-winner Billie Eilish".

Same reason you spend your life collecting music for films.

Must be your ears or speakers.

Oh come now, Blume! Even you must admit that stepwise ditty is awfully simple, even by pop standards.

As a piano bit, it's passable I guess. But when the ensemble swells, that stale homophonic arrangement is unconvincing at best.

Hasn't Zimmer got better things to be doing, like writing the score?

He has a recorder strapped to his butt, so half the score is already in the can.

The worst take!

Unfortunately, a lot of cloth-eared listeners do think that he's the messiah of film music :(

Thankfully we have you to preach the truth to those poor unfortunate souls who like different things than you do.  Hate to be nothing but negative lately but this place is slipping back into its old ways more and more, which is a damn shame.  There was a Silver Age for a little while there.

I suppose this means the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra's 'Bond 25' album is also delayed (can't find any mention of it on Decca's website). The Melbourne Symphony Orchestra's Skyfall LTP concert in early April has also been cancelled rescheduled :(

Interview with HZ. He talks a bit about Bond.

I look forward to seeing Steve Mazzaro as the composer on the album cover then...

If I was a famous composer, and was friends with Barbara Broccoli for a long time, who LITERALLY produced nothing but Bond movies in her life, I MIGHT have a hunch I may get asked someday.

But no, Hanz NEEEEEVER thought he might get that call. Neeeever.

That's the most annoying part about Zimmer lately, he's so disingenuous.

No such luck!😠
