Dean1700 4
G'day all,I have placed this post here as I don't have the slightest clue where else to go to ask this.I would like some help in getting a value on a SW poster I have. It is an original 1977 SW poster print painted by the Hilderbrandt brothers. It is not in a great condition as it has several large tears in it and has been tucked away out of sight for about 20 years. Can anyone help me with this? Can you please reply here or email me here or at deanlnorman@hotmail.com.Thanks in advance.Dean

Trumpeteer 243
Is it the one where Luke is pointing the gun at us, with Leia and Han also firing blasters? I have that one as well, protected by a cardboard backing and a laminate covering.Jeff -- also curious how much it's worth, though he's not selling
Dean1700 4
No.This one features Luke holding his light sabre into the air with both hands and legs apart. Leia is at his feet holding a blaster out to the side. The characters are set on a rock with a Tatooine backgound. In the sky above is the Death Star with a mass of X-wings and behind is the face of Darth Vader. The only other characters seen are C-3PO and R2-D2 that are also in the background. And I'll sell this one for the right price too! If any one wants a picture of this poster email me at dean.norman@defence.gov.auDean
Trumpeteer 243
Yeah I think that's "the" poster. I was only two at the time, but I read somewhere that that was the original poster, with two others made when the film went into more theaters. And for those who can't picture what it looks like, imagine the cover box of your old "Star Wars Anthology" set. It's that one. I think the Special Edition CDs have the same image, smaller and not in the same detail.
Dean1700 4
Close but not quite. The likeness of the characters in my poster look nothing like the actual actors.
Trumpeteer 243
The one where Mark Hamill has six-pack abs and his shirt wide open? And then Carrie Fisher is holding his leg? That's the one I'm thinking of.Jeff -- who regrettably sold his anthology box set

Dean1700 4
That's the one. Many thanks Neil. Mine has the original style STAR WARS title centred at the bottom of the poster as mine does not include the credits at the bottom. Do you know what it's worth?
