yeah it was 57$ canadian total

I also wanted to wait for Black Friday but ordered anyways

A $29.98 set plus $20 shipping converts to a hefty $70 price tag for us Aussies.

I'm definitely feeling a gunshot wound in my wallet and my soul.

I've been waiting almost twenty years for this and it does not disappoint one bit. :)

I've been enjoying, admiring, and loving John Williams's Minority Report for almost twenty years now, and I can't wait to discover it all over again!!!

I think I'll have my copy tomorrow so I'll sit down and give it a nice listen. Though probably won't get to do a full listen-through due to distractions. Will probably be in chunks of 20 minutes or so throughout the week.

Just finished ripping my copy. I don't know the score at all yet, so this should be fun!

It'd be more fun if you knew this score inside and out!

I got mine today. This is the first time that I have heard the entire score outside of the film. Having had the original soundtrack album until the announcement of the definitive release, I can say that the remastered sound is phenomenal. The clarity and impact of the Maestro's music stand out in great detail. I am really glad that Mike Mattessino is the Maestro's personal soundtrack archivist and remaster specialist. The liner notes are very informative and detailed. An excellent read. I never expected that Minority Report would get the definitive treatment so soon. I cannot wait to see what score of the Maestro's gets the definitive treatment next. This is phenomenal.

Got my set yesterday, and I'm loving what I'm hearing so far! Also cool to see a still from a deleted scene in the liner notes (i.e. Witwer looking at a blonde Pre-Crime officer amongst a group of officers)

I guess this whole Shawm controversy is more of a internal JWFan meme now, because there's no way, after getting the complete Prisoner of Azkaban after 14 years of a long and painful wait, people are really still pissed at some short source music that it's not even that good... Right? RIGHT?!?

God damn, who cares about the annoying shawm part of that cue? I thought it was background source music in the film anyway.

Yeah, how DARE people like something I don't, and kind of get attached to it, and want to be able to own it.

It's obviously not good, because I said so.

You talking about the new MR album, or about the so-called US foreign "policy"? 😂

MR the score is like wine. It gets better with age.

I remember when it first came out in 2002, all people could focus on was how "dissonant" it sounded, and how JW was likely paying hommage to the late Bernard Herrmann.

But obviously, it's much much more than that. And better than anything BH wrote, IMHO.

As an Italian dude, I agree: fava beans and Chianti are perfect companions for a Matessino-based meal.
One should be careful while cooking the CDs, though: you don't want any loose hub tooth scratching the roof of your mouth while you eat.

Be sure to choose the right ingredients, too: I once grated some Steve Jablonsky on my pasta and it took a while for me to digest it.
