Gruesome Son of a Bitch 6,488
This video is atrocious because it was recorded in 1991, but the audio is surprisingly good and kicks the crap out of other garbled recordings of the era. There's nothing remarkably different in the FBI chase music looping in the beginning, but you can finally hear the original audio for the flying and arrival scenes here beginning around 1 minute mark. They don't even play this stuff on the ride anymore. Instead, there's a generic synth bit as you take off, although the Flying Theme still remains. You can also hear the original Compys Dine-esque bit as you travel through space and more music before you see Bontanicus and hear that theme again. You can also hear the original music for the dancing E.T.s, which features a bizarre chorus and what I've always felt was an Ewokian rendition of the E.T. theme. Here's Williams inspecting a model of the Green Planet. No reason to show that to him if he wasn't going to score it. So, what's the verdict. Of course, he did Botanicus Theme, both the waiting line version and the rendition heard on the ride. The other music which isn't much different than original film versions is Williams. Why the hell would they get someone else for the other bits? I've always felt it was him. The bizarre chorus in the dancing E.T. scene is certainly questionable, but the rest sounds like it's him. King Mark 3,631
Wouldn't have MM found those chorus recordings ? It's possible it's Williams .After all he did the YubNub and Augie's .
Gruesome Son of a Bitch 6,488
Well, Botanicus Theme wasn't exactly found in ideal condition and Universal hasn't even played it in the line for years, even when the old Botanicus robot is barely working.
