Time for me to chime in I guess.   1- I am not dead, as apparently some of you have theorised.   2- Things are....pretty dire over here. 546 dead according to the latest numbers, a

Ann Sophie Mutter just posted a video on Facebook. She tested positive. Sounds in good spirits - so far she said she's just feeling lazy,

Thank God the rest of us dropped everything and ended up on welfare to save the elderly, many of which were already in isolation in nursing homes and seemingly murdered when Covid patients where bafflingly shipped back in to these Skilled Nursing Facilities. They're skilled, alright. In getting people killed.

The nursing home fiasco was unfortunate, but at the heart of it was a serious lack of rigorous PPE adherence, misinformation and lack of proper oversight. They were isolated, yes, but the very people sworn to protect them were the worst possible choices.

The elderly were victims before this pandemic due to an uncaring government.

Here's my rant for today:

Our PM and his corporate cronies want Australia and Victoria in particular to 'open up faster' in what can be blatantly regarded as the most idiotic thing to do after months of an effective lockdown. It's anti-science and it's selfish. Not only that, he's running on the idea that it needs to happen because of the adverse effects on mental health. He has the audacity to play the mental health card, when his greatest concern is the economy

I was going over news clips on 9/11 of the American coverage of that tragic event on its anniversary a few weeks ago and some of the reporters, as people were dying and still trapped in the towers, were talking about how the attacks were going to affect the economy.

Now we have a global pamdemic, a crisis that has affected many nations and our politicians are still concerned about the economy over the welfare of their citizens. You can't have an economy without people but when shit hit the fan earlier this year, the UK, US and Australia (the three most powerful western nations) didn't hesitate to bailout and support the welfare of its corporate masters, and gave fuck all to the people.

Now more than ever we're living in a capitalist society that does not care one ounce about the people, let alone their mental health. Our politicians are corrupt, power-hungry and useless at doing anything that doesn't benefit the interests of big business.

The problem is all of these politicians were voted in for all the wrong reasons and I can bet it was their temporary promises to build infrastructure, ironically increase welfare, or offer a quick fix to all society's ills and when they didn't implement any policies worth a damn you know who throws a hissy fit first? The people who voted them in. Not only will they do that, they'll constantly blame the opposition as to why their lives suck, why we're all in debt.

This cycle will go on and on and on and the longer it goes on the more screwed we are because no one has your interests in mind, no one who runs our country cares, and even if they do they don't have the power to affect any change because they've been roadblocked by walls of bureaucratic fluff.

The military budget and money made through the sports and entertainment industry would be more than enough to increase the welfare of the citizenry and the most vulnerable. Trillions of dollars on endless wars is wasted.

You do realize that sports and the entertainment industries bring massive amounts of money to the economies of the world. Take those out of the equation and there will be a hell of a lot more poor and unfortunates.

@Arpy, I liked your "rant for today".

Given what you said, do you still think that my comments on the NWO are misguided?

It's not events that shape the world, it's how they are manipulated.

I do believe they're manipulated, but by a broken capitalist system and not some shadowy organization. The problem with capitalism is that it eventually creates another form of feudalism where the most powerful sit atop the hierarchy owning more wealth than the bottom 99% combined. What we need is a fair and balanced system that takes the best of capitalism and covers a form of social democracy wherein the welfare of the people is accounted for and you'll see the quality of life increase. The sad thing is most of this can be achieved right now.

Right now it's socialism for the corporations, capitalism for the people and by every metric it's failing. How do you argue against Medicare for all? Or a UBI, or raising the minimum wages of workers so they're not trapped in poverty? No one can and eventually the people will have enough of this treatment. That's why there's talk of a general strike in the US to demand that the will of the people is heard and whoever's in power after the election to make the necessary changes.

The money poured into them, the excessive amounts players and talent receive, if diverted to the appropriate resources could end world hunger and poverty. I'm not advocating they end, but that they become more charitable than they claim to be.

The Governor of California has kept this state shut down for 7 months to save the elderly and now the Walt Disney Company is letting go of 28,000 souls because Disneyland is still closed and surrounded by bums and drug addicts as the city falls apart.

Better question, why is Creamers, a miserable pathetic being if I ever saw one, so offended by the fact that, yes, John Williams music was in fact played at the recent historic White House Abraham Accord signing, not in any way reported on this shitty forum because it's "political" and has nothing to do with Harry Potter or Star Wars.

I'm trying to save the thread from you guys. Don't forget, you already killed the sexy thread. We need the COVID thread, you guys destroying it (by campaigning for Trump and insulting JWFan members) is a form of misinformation.
