Never been to Manchester, but I visited London, Leeds and York.

Oh, and York is easily the prettiest of these three.

Actually, I think Bolle is going to Manchester to fight the Scottish and their need for independence.

No. Not gonna take the bait.

What?! No quotes from Braveheart either?

I thought London was a really mixed bag. There's so much to do, but living is expensive as hell and, without wanting to be racist at all, it feels so multicultural that there's not much English about it anymore, it's just… nothing more than a huge international blend. I didn't feel like I was in England.

Scotland: never! Two minutes of Nicola Sturgeon on the news is more than I can bear already.

York: one day.

It's not that bad, and she won't be SPM for ever.

I love the accent of Lord Baelish but he's Irish. But even then, there's something unusual about it.

Yeah, Alex, that's because he's an Irishman trying to speak with an English accent.

While we're on the subject, Tyrion Lannister should be shot for that abomination of an accent! It's just one step short of Jim Carey's accent on that  Beatles tribute record.

Yeah, it's terrible and I have a feeling it's getting worse and worse with every season. It bothers me much more in S4 than in S1.

Maybe it would have been better if they had cast Warwick 'Willow' Davis instead.

Same here. I never noticed it at first, but then found out he was an American and from that point on it became really irritating.

London is a cosmopolitan city, yes. When I visit I think it feels great, but I do tire of city hustle and bustle after a weekend away from my quiet northern village.

Btw, Manchester, or Greater Manchester, is quite multicultural too. Perhaps Liverpool city might be your cup of tea - it is largely a pocket of white people. There is a Chinese community in the city, but other ethnic minorities are remarkably small in number across the Merseyside borough, and what there is is well integrated.

I agree...with Lee. I've visited both cities, and I far prefer Liverpool to Manchester. I mean, it's got The Beatles, innit? Nuff said. Then again, I prefer London to anywhere, except one place.

While I enjoyed my visits to London, I felt it lacked a sense of history. The place burned down so many times there's hardly anything left.

Oh, and Bolle, enjoy your imported chlorinated chicken in England. ;)

Good luck! As an English person I couldn’t wait to get out as soon as I had the opportunity, but I hope it brings you nothing but happiness and success.

Seems pretty certain I will have to quarantine now. Meh.

Oh, yeah. Great. Go ahead; quarantine in Madchester. Within three weeks, you'll be selling your own mother for a one-way ticket back to Antwerp. Don't say I didn't warn you.

Well, I'm here. Still processing I've actually done this.

I know how you feel. When I returned to where I'm living now (I was here 10 years ago, but I had to leave) I felt as if I was coming back home.

By the way, your hosts: City, or United? Believe me, it's very important!

What do you think the answer is to that question, Richard?

Posted

Yes, I use a braille display. Mine doesn't have keys, though, it just displays what appears on screen and I type on a normal computer. I can also make that computer talk, but I rarely do that, prefer to read things.

See? Not so straightforward as it might appear, Mr. Smartypants.

So...how's Madchester?

Have you decided, yet?

City, or Uni- I'm sorry, I'll type that, again. Un- no. U-. I'm so sorry, my 'phone won't let me type it. You know what I mean.
